Transfer decisions are dropping

I think it’s safe to say it’s going to be a damn war zone with the portal this offseason
If we can minimize our losses to guys falling down the depth chart and manage to land some of these high quality guys, we will be alright.

Any chance we have a shot at any of these guys? The aTm RB seems intriguing. We definitely have a need there with CRod likely gone

Vols will put up numbers that attract WR so not surprising he ends up there. Burden has a pretty sweet NIL deal with Missouri, if he enters the portal expect that to be a major factor in his decision;

I'm not a law guru by no stretch. But wouldn't it be illegal for any contract to tie you to a team, like a pro contract?
Yeah...sort of common sense is it not?

You can't take 100k to attend Mizzou and then jet on over to Tennessee (and take more money) without having that 100k have paybacks for early termination.

A QB should be priority one, then some o-line help, then fill other holes like RB

NIL deals are not like pro contracts.
The UT QB commit from Cali that got the 8 mil is not guaranteed up front money.
If he flops or leaves UT, no 8 mil.
1. Until we see the contracts....don't know how it's going to work
2. If the UT QB flops, he may not get all the $8M....but he'll for damn sure get some of it up front and then pieces as it unfolds.

Guys...this stuff is going to get but ugly when dudes get shafted and how players react...then the coach is going to have a whole new set of headaches to deal with and finally the companies/boosters that are propping this pile of crap up will be wanting their share of the say. This looks like an even worse disaster than first thought.

This would be like a hypothetical Pat Mahomes getting benched w/Chiefs but he has a huge contract being paid by State Farm. Mahomes might not like it but Andy Ried has to win games and then State Farm is pissed as Mahomes is their promo guy....so who has the say-so in the end? Like a poligamist have 3 wives....in the end who are you loyal to.

Texas QB got millions from Ohio State and bolted to Texas. Buyer’s beware but if you can play the portal right it’s an instant fix for programs like KY.

But what if being a player at a certain school is integral to the work being performed? A commercial with a football player pitching a product isn’t going to be effective in Lexington if the guy doesn’t play for UK.
