I’m no local legend either but I know a guy who used to be a diver for water rescue and he said there were catfish so big at the hydro plant that a few fellow divers wouldn’t dive there. Harmless to humans but huge. I’d pass too.
Same uncle caught a blue cat out of Ohio that was about 44 pounds. He’s always told me there are catfish in there the size of Volkswagens.
Taylorsville Lake is a great place to catch crappie. We do well every spring.
Father in law had a place on Nolin for years. Before that it was Barren River Lake. Love Kentucky Lakes. I hunt in Casey County

Glad to see there are a lot of us in this area, I've lived off of Buelah Church for most of my life.. To answer your question, there's fish in McNeely but i don't know if I'd eat em, lol

Used to live in Paducah. KY Oaks Mall was just a peach orchard back then.
Grandpa and his friends trot lines had pictures with 60 lb flatheads out of Nolin. I'm sure there's big ones else where

Paducah TV says a tornado headed toward Murray State University. Telling students in dorms to head for safe space.
Well, to hell with that. Plenty of warnings still up.
I’m in Evansville and some bad stuff went through about 10 minutes ago with more on the way. My nieces go to Murray State and they’ve been told to take cover and get in the fetal position. I’ll be up all night.

We are looking at getting a shelter installed in our Garage. I'm in GA but we get some bad stuff from time to time.
We had 2 tornados in my town yesterday. And last year got hit with a hurricane lol
That warned system had a debris signature, but the storm weakened significantly right before it hit town, if that's any consolation.
Yeah but not many extreme events. KY has had numerous disasters in just last 2 years.
Weren’t they floods? There really isn’t all that much you can do about that. So scary.
