Eric Bossi has a list of the top ten recruiting classes of the one-and-done era and not surprisingly it's dominated by Kentucky. The Wildcats have six of the top ten recruiting classes of the modern era.

The 2016 class ranks third. The two classes ranked ahead of it powered championship teams.

I said a while back that I would give the nod to UK's 2011 class on the basis of the transcendent talent that Anthony Davis is. Bossi agrees. I could be wrong but I believe T.J. has Kentucky's '16 class as the best (chime in if I'm wrong, T.J.), so the fact that it's even a debate bodes very well for UK next year.

STORY: Top Ten Classes

This list is based on accomplishment and I think that's a fair basis. I think 2009 was Cal's best class even though they didn't make it to Final Four, followed by 2011, 2014, 2013... Can't rank 2016 yet. Too early.

Not sure why they are ranking the 2016 classes. IDC how good they are on paper, they shouldn't be ranked yet. They are doing it just to make it look like this isn't an absolute beatdown by Calipari.

Duke's 2014 class is also a too high for never having played more than a month in the league. They may have won the title, but Wall/Cousins/Bledsoe will always be better than Winslow/Okafor/Jones.
