Yeah but it's always one of those things where have they not beaten anybody else because they can't beat anybody else or because their schedule didn't allow them the ability to beat anybody else.
They played four games against top 20 Kenpom competition. They lost to Kansas and Kentucky. They beat Arizona and Auburn.
Hoping they end up in a different region than UK.
I am first and foremost a UK fan but I'd really rather not see a UK vs St Johns tournament game until later on in this thing LOL.
I really wish one day someone way smarter than me would take a look at the extreme teams and see how they do relative to their seeding.
In other words, take the teams that have a great resume but poor computer metrics. Then take the teams with great computer metrics but poor resumes. See how each group did. Obviously you'd have to do something like wins over expected wins based on what seed they got to weigh that properly.
But genuinely curious what those results would show.

If we get a 4 seed and the SEC gets theee number one seeds, the chance of being in Duke’s region are close to 100%. Think about it, we won’t get a S16 pairing with in-conference opponent so it will have to be Duke….I really hope we can hang on and get a 3 seed. I want no part of Duke tbh
I think injuries are a bit difficult to factor in unless you know for sure those players are gone for the year.
If not, I figure you just seed based on what the team actually did on the court with the players they had.
Like if UK has earned a 3 seed or 4 seed and they did it playing some games without Robinson and some games without Butler, I think you just assume that's what this team is. Like I don't think they would ever "dock" them and just assume those guys wouldn't be back because although we don't know when, it's more likely they are back at some point then not.

If you discount a couple of UK’s losses, to an extent due to many injuries, then you could easily justify UK being a 2 seed with a now healthy team. As of this date, that is.
They only released the top 16. What are you talking about?

It's not difficult to see Kentucky has done relatively very well against the strongest of the field this season. And that will be the entirety of the field this year. The SEC has been dominant, too.

I like Kentucky at least in the top 3 seeds by the time it's all said and done. I haven't seen 12 teams better than them in college basketball this year, and I base that purely in / on results. Historic good against top 10 !, 15 ! WOW!!!!
And considering the injuries, which is hard to quantify, but they have actually overachieved because of them, a case can be made. Certainly worth mentioning.
Fully healthy, this team definitely looks like a 2 seed, let the rest eat cake. I'll stick with UK healthy. We can still rise up and make that next step to greatness.

I coulda sworn I read somewhere on this board recently that our season was over. Glad I checked back in…..
I don't want to see any of the 1 seeds.
Need to get a 2 or 3 seed to avoid the Sweet 16 matchup.
This team does play its best against the best. They probably don’t wanna see us if healthy, but yeah I’d prefer not seeing them until very late.

Well Purdue didn't take long to show everyone they was over seeded. Houston is currently down 8 to Arizona. Keep losing top teams. Vandy blowing a DD halftime lead at UT would have helped a bit.
Houston ended up winning on the road against a good Arizona team
And Purdue lost to a pretty good Wisconsin team.
The season should be over for the knuckleheads who post that kind of stuff. If you jump off the bandwagon by halftime of a bad game, you shouldn’t be let back on like it’s a hayride.
