Could tonight's game just be a case of rust from having 10 days off between games, even though they practiced everyday. Cause everyone knows there's a big difference between practice and games.
No, it's a case of Ole Miss is built perfectly to beat us. 4 tweener guards who can spread us out, hit crazy contested shots, draw a lot of fouls. Moody and White were 8-11 from 3, then Summers started freaking late in the game. None of the quality teams in the nation have the ability to play that style. This is the kind of game and team that could beat UK on an off night. They were hitting circus shots and in a zone last night. We also hit some huge shots which we will need to do at some point again this year. As well as Ole Miss played, we still won and this game was a great way to begin conference play. Rust wasnt as much of a factor as Ole Miss being on fire and playing out of their minds.
I think rust and taking their opponent too lightly. After they rushed out to the early lead, they figured Ole Miss would wilt, like UCLA and Kansas. Ole Miss also hit shots that they won't hit the rest of the year.
