Came in here attacking posters for merely stating facts that we stayed in the same defense every single possession. All while being absolutely torched via the high ball screen. Literally never tried one thing different. Epitome of insanity.

thats not all your stating. you mention nothing of traps or switches thru screens or under screens . help defense there are several ways to change a defense without going zone.
well you seem to think you are smarter back it up or shut it up

Right, and that's kind of my point. This team still struggles a lot with normal man to man defense. Taking practice time off of man to man and moving it to zone so they can suck at two things doesn't make sense to me. I understand others may disagree, but I do think there's some logic to why don't practice and play zone.
I see your point. I just think you have to have multiple defenses at your disposal. If you don’t, you’re doing the team a big disservice.

No one denies Bill is a cheater, but there's no question he's done more with less than Cal. You lose your credibility by stating otherwise. Just look at NBA rosters. Everybody for years has wanted a different offensive scheme from Cal and he finally changed it year with good results and now were working on changing his thinking on Defense. And what your going to say next is. well he didnt have the players to play this way on offensive before, we will never know the answer to that.. as we wont know the answer to the question of would a zone or some other defense would have helped.
I agree to a point, however CCC doesn’t get a pass for making us “young” every year, which is the root of all kinds of problems we have to deal with (again, every freakin year). No other school in the country has the turnover we do.

Cal's defensive strategy is to double down on stupid. If his teams are getting exposed defensively, he will just keep rolling them out there playing their typical inept defense. Are we to believe that our HOF coach is incapable of teaching some of the best talent in college basketball some of the various types of zone defenses? I am not suggesting that he goes exclusively with a zone; however, mixing zone with his standard defense could be effective at taking an opponent out of their rhythm because it certainly has been effective against us prior to this season.
