A lot of people having to backpedal and, frankly, given the roster situation they had no reason to be down on Pope to start with. Absolute blast of a win and blast of a year

A lot of those negative posters are not actually real UK fans but trolls, have you noticed that when UK wins there are none of those posters, and when the Cat's lose they crawl out of the wood work.

Most teams would have folded, losing 3 starters for an extended period and a key backup for most of the season. Somehow, Pope was able to manage the lineup and keep the possibility of a post season run in tact. All the while, playing in arguably the best conference in college basketball history. Losing 10 games has pretty much knocked him out of COY consideration. However, IMO, there's probably only a handful of coaches who could have done the same thing.
He's in witness protection today.
For what all Coach Pope and this team has been through in just his first season here, he deserves the freakin National Coach of the year award!!!

Right now, even though Carr and Butler aren’t 100%, they’re battling and playing with heart. So at this point Krissa and Robinson are our losses going into the post season. Chandler has picked up his game the last few to almost offset the Krissa loss and actually the combo of Chandler, Noah, Perry and Almonor have helped offset the loss of Robinson by their combined play and more experience. Hope todays win gets us away from having to face Auburn on Friday in the SEC.
He starts getting top 5 guys and mixing them with portal guys and he will be really cooking. He is really cooking now but do that and he really really cooking
In April he will only have to be battling to find 3-4 players vs a WHOLE FREAKIN’ TEAM!
My biggest fear is not players, it is the staff. Pope also put together a really good staff. Elite recruiter and bench guys.
Other teams are gonna come hard at our staff and try to hire them away.

I am very excited for the whole portal process, to be honest. The "Boom!" reactions by the staff were fun, it seems like a lot here liked those.
