I realize Kentucky shot or we have 12 more foul shots because they were in the bonus and shooting fouls and Missouri missed a bunch front end of a one on one, but they were only called for two more fouls than Kentucky was and that’s with them fouling on purpose the last minute and a half.

That needed to be said after he identified :

"Foul Count" and his "research project [about fouls] " at least he said ... give Kentucky credit.

But when you double down and return to whining about the officiating and no fouls being called that would have given you an advantage .... geezuz. Just go ahead and give it to him. Both barrels. He sure was a mad little gnome during the game. Made me laugh watching his TV time.

It's a lame thing to count on fickle officiating in this league, though. But whatever.

I'm so sick of the SEC and this league's BS when it comes to playing road games and the officiating makes it just that much WORSE. I'll be happy to see it end, actually. No more SEC teams outside the NCAA tournament. Fine. Sounds good to me. Screw them all.

As a UK fan, I’ll never feel sorry for another team crying about the refs.

They so badly wanted to get Butler in foul trouble, but he wised up and didn’t bite on it after those quick two. Fouls did not win the game for UK nor did they lose it for Mizzou. Just some sour grapes by a coach expecting a win.

We've been getting dicked all year long. We know that through the first 16 or so games, Kentucky was whistled for like 2 more fouls a game and shot 3 less free throws (roughly). I don't give a shit if we finally got one go our way in the end, especially if the final count was skewed because they *had* to start fouling.

Get bent, Gates.

Heck, all Mark Mitchell had to do was jump into one of our guys and they would call a foul. That is my only complaint about the officials from that game outside of the "normal" missed/bad calls.

It could have been so many more. Mizzou set a moving screen every time on offense whether it was a hip check or extending arms to push off as we tried to fight through the screen.
I posted this in another thread but the number of illegal screens per game that doesn't get called is probably in the 20-30 range. The moving, hip checking and holding the defender on screens is out of control.

Agreed. It's ubiquitous....so when they do decide to call it, it looks suspicious. You can say, well it was blatant in such and such case, but it's almost always obvious when they are moving. Either call it any time it happens, or remove it from the rule book.

Not illegal screen based but the block call on Lamont during a Missouri fast break couldn't have been anymore of a textbook charge. Lamont was back and set 3 steps before the guy got to him and barreled him over. Apparently the new rules have complicated things even more for refs to make the correct call.

With about 4 minutes to go, they showed a graphic on free throws and at that time Mizzou had shot 3 more attempts than UK, then UK passed them because Mizzou started intentionally fouling, so maybe he was just looking for an excuse or maybe he is an idiot.

This is probably going to sound crazy, but if he is that worried perhaps he should instruct his players to stop fouling. Oh, wait, what he's actually bitching about like a little spoiled brat is that the refs dared call fouls on his players. Poor widdle baby.

This was also the maddest I have been at a game in a long time. I needed the under of 170.5 to hit a pretty substantial parlay. With a minute left I was safe then he started all that damn fouling when the game was still out of reach.

Exactly how many times did Missouri intentionality foul us in the last minute of the game? Seems like it was at least a half dozen times.
