Poy is the most overrated player in UK history. That's not ment to put him down. He is an average college player and I'm fine with that. If the cats get 6&6 from him I'm happy.

Well he's averaging 8 and 7. It seems everyone wants him to be a superstar and if he's not (he's not) he's a bust. He's a solid player, and we need his contributions this year.

Don't want to hijack the thread but saying he is the most overrated in history is very questionable. I don't know how far back you go but 2 names that quickly come to my mind without much thought are Richard Madison and Derrick Hord. I'm sure there are others as well.

LOL . And no OP Lee is the better player this season so far. We might not have beaten UCLA with Lee but it would of been a 1-2 pt loss at most.

Time to let my redneck out a bit. But this is the truth. Alex Poythress is a sissy. He's a 6'9 240lb soft ass sissy. He should be one of the most dominant PF's in college and get drafted in the top 10 or 15. Its like basketball isn't life for him. He worries too much about academics and all that. He'd be a better player if he wasn't as smart or if he didn't care about academics IMO. He's a freak of nature. His focus needs to be on basketball and getting to the league. Not academics. You can be a millionaire playing basketball Alex!!!!!!! He wasn't like all the other big time players. They're all about ball and getting to the NBA. Alex wasn't like that. He needs to start being like that. And on the court he needs to be a bully. He needs to be rough, tough, mean and aggressive. I want to see him dunk it all over some punk then get in their freaking face. I want to see Alex play like a thug. I WANT TO SEE HIM PLAY WITH NO CONSCIOUS AND SHOW NO MERCY!!!!!!! Not many players have pissed me off as bad as Alex has over the course of his career. I mean some games its like "Oh yeah there he is" Then he just goes back to being his usual soft ass self. Hell maybe he can join a law firm with JP Blevins or some shit because he wont last long in the league if he don't develop into what I just described. COME ON ALEX. You could be a superstar.

Unless you just have ungodly size, it's hard to play this game at an elite level when you can't dribble.

Poythress is one of the poorest ballhandlers I've seen at UK other than the true centers.
