I think getting down in big holes has pretty much been an issue all season long.

We took OSU lightly.
These guys better learn fast that you cant do that at Kentucky because everyone wants to beat UK.

Now, getting that high up for UL last weekend, then having to wait an entire week, I think that could play a small part. You get in a big emotional game like that and win I'd think you want to get right back out there.

It is not a routine problem, it is being prepared problem. Poorly coached, our kids were no where ready to play ball. When that happens, it is on the coaching staff. Coaches don't guard, shoot the ball, or rebound but they are responsible in getting kids ready to play. Our kids were no where ready and that is 10000% on Pope. His honeymoon is coming to a close if he can't motivate the kids. They showed very little effort tonight. Zero PRIDE. I'm pissed with their effort!
It is a they have gotten entitled problem. To start with they played hard with a chip on their shoulder. Then came success and media praising them and they have just gotten entitled and lack that chip on their shoulder anymore. Add in all of the pats on the back and the sightseeing tours when they go on road trips and you get what we got today. A fat and lazy team that thinks they can just show up now and win games.
I don't think this is remotely true at all.
Maybe they just aren't all that talented.
So a team that beat Duke and came back from 18 down against the Zags on the road is suddenly not all that talented enough to beat an average at best OSU team?
Sometimes the less talented team wins. We showed a ton of heart in those games but maybe just the mere fact we continue to be down that much to every good team we play we should take that as a sign here.
I hope I'm wrong there but I can definitely see when it's all said and done both Zags and Duke having better seasons and higher seeds than we are going to get.
Before I get nailed to the cross, let me preface this by saying that I don't wish Calipari was still here. However, this would probably be one of those games that he would win and it's STRICTLY because of the kind of players. This team doesn't have a guy that can go get a bucket when you need it, unlike teams in his tenure.
One time might have been lucky I agree but they have continually done it and come back from it. If you think this team is playing with the same chip on their shoulder as they did to start this season we can just cordially disagree. I was trying to be nice about OSU but they are not a very good team. They lost to Pitt got beat down by Maryland and absolutely ran off the floor by Auburn. And they are more talented than UK to the tune of a 20 point win? But we can disagree friendly and just move along. It isn't the end of the world.
