Is it still possible? How does it work? If not, seems like a good number of people are now unemployed. Thanks.

I am a longtime season ticket holder. We live in Paducah and are unable to make the trip this weekend. I have 2 tickes listed on UK ath / or ticketmaster website/ Lower Level SEC 30 Row 30 Seats 9 & 10. They are verified resale. You can either go to UK Ticket online or Ticketmaster.com and go to Kentucky Football Tickets use map mode and click on Section 30 row 30 Select seats 9 & 10. They will take your payment and send the tickets to your phone. $90 each well below my cost. Great seats. Weather you get my or not I think going thru them would be the safest way. Hope this helps

Every ticket should be face value….
Should every house on the market be what the owner paid plus a cost of inflation increase? This was always a silly law to enforce...if I have an asset you want and you're willing to pay a price for it above what I paid....what is the hurt to society. Same as if I paid $100 bucks for a ticket and UK has a terrible season and I can only sale it you a person for $20....it's my problem.

Seems as though I’ve struck a nerve with all the people who buy up tickets just to resell.
You scalpers are garbage humans.
Your asset was acquired for the sole purpose of ripping people off

I understand reselling as an individual who couldn’t make it, but buying a bunch of tickets just to resell makes you an asshole

and thanks for the economic lesson. I had absolutely no idea.

I buy tickets a game at a time on resale website and have for over a decade…so I agree with you buying up huge block of tickets to resale gets old.

But they also get stuck with unsold tickets as well and they take the risk.

Didnt mean to come off as so condescending k
On my part. That shouldn’t have happened on my part

Absolutely no worries man. Thanks for saying that. I just get burned up on people and companies scamming people who would pay face value and go to games and be louder and more enthusiastic.
I still don’t understand how standing outside a stadium and scalping is illegal but Ticketmaster making billions scalping online is okay. It must solely be about the taxes

I’ve bought plenty of tickets from scalpers. Sometimes it was the best option, sometimes it was the only option. Sometimes I walked away pleased and sometimes I walked away feeling burnt. But one thing was consistent about the experience…..I hated it. I hated being pestered by sellers, I hated negotiating, I hated taking the risk that the tickets could be fake, I hated circling the damn stadium looking for tickets while my buddies were tailgating. I just don’t want the headache and I just don’t really trust some of the scalpers. I am a supporter of capitalism but I just don’t respect that side hustle. I’m glad it will go away.

it’s on me to purchase my tickets in advance and that was always the case. But it’s frustrating when the selection is so thin because of people gobbling up all the tickets in order to make a profit. Then it pisses me off when their tickets go unsold. That’s a seat my kid could have been sitting in.

ticketmaster can also kiss my ass with all those fees.

Since different seats and games have different prices how does one know actual face value of a mobile ticket? That one advantage of a paper ticket it had a price on it.

Never bought or sold a scalped ticket in my life but scalpers are also providing a service at a cost. They have to acquire the tickets, sell the tickets, and maybe eat the tickets. It frees up the ticket holder to not have to try and sell the tickets which can be time consuming. What about the peoplr who acquire the hottest roys at Christmas and sell them at inflated prices, they are no differebt from a scalper. Bottom line is the purchaser always has the right to not pay the price being asked.

I bought volleyball tickets: two tickets were $10.00 with a $7.80 fee. Pretty ridiculous.
It has slowed my attending concerts way down. I try to hit the smaller venues now and stay away from Ticketmaster/Live Nation shows. Sucks what ticket sales/brokering, has turned in to.

Do y’all remember Several Years back when the police decided to crack down on scalping? It was on the news and they made a big deal about it. I believe it was the tubby years so it was a while ago. I seem to remember that they made it illegal to sell your tickets at a highly inflated price. Maybe they made it illegal to sell them over face value, I don’t recall.

but anyways, I was in the food court at rupp before a game. I had upper arena seats and not great ones either. A man approached me and started trying to buy my tickets. I said no thanks. A few mins later he came back again, this time offering $200 for both of our tickets. We ditched him and got some food. Then he came to our table while we were eating and started really, really trying to get us to sell him our tickets. He ended up following us when we got up to leave and offered as much as $1200 for 2 uppers. He started acting like he wanted to show us the money and stuff. His hands were in his pockets and I was getting uncomfortable. I saw 2 security people by the escalators so I wanted to head in that direction and I noticed they were already staring at us. I thought good, they must be on to him.

The guy kind of peeled off when we started in that direction and when I tried to tell them what the guy was doing they essentially just turned away and ignored me. I knew at that point that the guy was an undercover cop and he was trying to entrap us. This was literally days after the news broke about the scalping crackdown. I believe all that has cooled off and scalping eventually went back to normal but it was an emphasis at one time

You can sign up or log in to a UK Athletics account, which links to Ticketmaster and select single game tickets and see the cost of individual tickets for specific games and events. I would change the filters to search for a single ticket and then ensure it's a reserved ticket, not a verified resale ticket. I believe there is a filter for that as well and then search for specific sections/areas you want.

When purchasing someone else's season tickets they are trying to resale, it does vary, and the face value is typically cheaper than single-game ticket sales. The cost varies based on how early the season ticket holder purchased the tickets to get a discount, depending on where it is located, and K fund donation cost as well. The season ticket holder depending on location, has to pay a K fund fee per ticket to purchase those seats, and when reselling, they sometimes divide that fee out and include it with resell cost.

For football (Early & regular price per ticket cost):

Premium Seating - $500 after Feb 10 $600
Standard - $365/$330 after Feb 10 $390/$350
200 level sideline - $315 after Feb 10 $325
200 level corner - $215 after Feb 10 $225

K fund donations range from 0$ for some of the Upper-Level Sections all the way up to $1000 for mini box and this is for standard seating areas and is per ticket.

Example no K fund: (upper level) Miami game only

So for the Miami game on Saturday, for example, if you had an upper level (midway up) season ticket, the early price would be $27 per ticket, and the single game ticket cost is $35 plus fees. That season ticket that is $27 doesn't require a K fund donation, so you are saving $8 plus Ticketmaster/UK processing fees if you have a season ticket.

Example w/ K fund: (upper level) Miami game only

So for the Miami game on Saturday, for example, if you are in the first 8 rows on the north side in section 209 early season ticket price is $33 per ticket plus a yearly Kfund per ticket of $100 so take $100/8 games = $12.50 for a total cost of $45.50, and single game ticket cost is $50 plus fees. So you are saving about $5 dollars plus Ticketmaster/UK processing fees if you have season tickets.

Hope this helps and gives everyone an idea of how it works, at least for football. Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong or have misunderstood.

I have had Season Tickets and Blue Parking Pass since '81. If I can't make i game I usually just give to a friend or sell at much less than I paid due to K-Fund Donations I have to pay The mobile ticket makes this tougher than paper tickets because quite a few people don't have UK acct. Last year I just sent them a Screenshot of the ticket if they didn't have acct and that worked. Figure sooner or later they will stop Screenshot of tickets

I wonder if those scalpers turn in taxes on those profits…
