A few short years ago, Kentucky drove the length of the field and Coach Stoops suddenly realized none of th O line were the starters.
Coach Schlarmann would rotate linemen in and out, keeping them both fresh and experienced.

We lost that after Coach passed on, and our backups got less and less snaps.

Now we pay for it.

I think Cox at center is an error. I also think the lack of, well, hostility on the line part shows. Maybe those can be fixed. I hope so.

I think part of the issue is also we’re trying to run a very complex pro style offense without the players to run it. These guys just don’t have it between the ears yet to run this stuff. Simplify the schemes.

That is not why our line is this bad. Im sorry. They can’t handle simple stunts and we are halfway into the season. It’s easy to blame wolford because of the way he left but he’s not the reason.

They do not seem to be able to block the man directly in front of them, most times.
I think we clearly have a talent issue and not a scheme one. Hopefully, they can and will improve.

You graduated a good OL. Their replacements aren't that good yet. Your QB gets hurt and his replacement doesn't do well. That's football. You don't have Bama talent 3 deep. The problem with being a developmental program is that you have to take time to develop guys and hope it coincides with having your best skill talent.
