This was called a foul on Oregon

The call was wrong, but I can see how the ref called it. He was positioned behind Jackson. All he saw was the Oregon player sliding under Jackson. He couldn't see how both the Oregon player and Jackson both turned away from contact. From his perspective, it had to look like a defender undercutting a guy on a fast break. Bad break for UofO
So this must have been a bad break for Michigan too, right?

It's a fast break. They're all trailing refs.

I do feel all of your frustration with "expected contact". But also I recognize that basketball is probably the most difficult sport to officiate. Very fast action with razor thin differences between foul and no foul. If Jackson floats 3-4 inches closer to the basket, that's going to be a foul. And players cutting towards the basket nearly always get the benefit of the doubt. Fans of a team that had the Harrison twins should be well aware of that.
I can see why you're taking the officials side in this:

And Kennedy Meeks won't have his way with Gonzaga's bigs either.
More than likely they'll be sitting on the bench for extended periods of time. Karnowski will probably have 2 fouls before the 16:00 minute mark in the 1st half.

I didn't watch the games. Woke up this morning and this was the first thread I read. Day is ruined. This officiating crap is over the top . How can anyone even expect a fair game anymore.
Mark Few should just say "Its been a great season, but to hell with it, they will never let us win".
Whoever wrote that the NCAA was becoming professional wrestling hit the nail on the head.

It's not even close to the most difficult.
Hockey has a ton more action and split second decisions. Officials make it difficult because they are out of shape, and have expectations on plays. It's why I have advocated for a while now 2 more officials need to be added to the crew and put on either baseline while 2 go up and down the court. That would instantly put them in position for fast break points

Not a bad break. Just another bad call. You didn't see it, why are you calling it? They are all on the take. There just is no other reasonable answer. Too much money, too many crooks.

Not buying it. Don't see contact? Then don't making the effing call! You don't just guess out there. Lmao.

The referees have been one of 2 things:

1. Awful
2. Cheating

I have stayed out of the fray the past week but those defending these refs are more than delusional.
