I sure hope. The important thing to me is putting together a team that is a true contender. I do not think we were this year but it never was going to be given the circumstances. I consider Elite Eight the standard for a very good year in most cases. Anything can happen at that point.

I sure hope so. I would hope Pope will put more of an emphasis on defense and rebounding. His offensive scheme is really solid but at this stage of the tournament you have to be able to get stops.

It's hard to say right now. Seems we just came in last in a cock measuring contest and it takes a while to recover.

Right this second I’m very confident in 6 players being on next years roster. 3 freshmen, 2 freshmen from this team, and the 5th leading scorer at Tulane.

Not saying anything bad about any of those players and I’m excited for them all in their own way just laying it out there.

But a lot has to happen this offseason and I think a lot will.

(Just to be clear I left Perry off my confident in coming back numbers. While I’d still expect him back, he ended on multiple DNP’s and probably projects to be at best PG3 next year and more than likely Jasper or Chandler slide in for spot duty pushing him to PG4. Even if he does come back he’s (very respectfully) inconsequential to the expectations for next year.)

Does Otega return? I think so, and look at all the great SEC teams this year. All returned an all conference guy.

What does Pope want to do at the C position? Does it feature/include Garrison?

I was referring to changes other than with the roster or the league. The staff needs to change the way it does some things, and I'm confident they will.

We do not have a clue if we will still be playing. We have a wish or a hope that we will be playing. There are 25 other teams making the same statement because it is a hope that we will still be playing. Hell, NIL has totally changed who might still be playing. We may not be as good next year as this year because we don't have a clue who will be on our roster.
