I agree with all of you. However, we are a long time losing fan base whose culture is to lose hope quickly in this process of building a competitive SEC football program. I watched it all tonight in a beautiful CWS. My heart sunk once again telling myself, "when will this ever end?"
As a 60 year fan, I've seen and experienced it all from Blanton Collier to Mark Stoops. I am thankful for tonight s win. I'm also as angry as CMS with hoe the game played out. Yet, I am behind this fine young coach and his staff.
I also pray to to the football gods to show this coach, his staff and talented young players the way down the glory road.

I truly believe Dawson wanted the offense to look a certain way and we sputtered as a result. The ineptitude of the offense caused the d to stay on the field. Pat made some bad throws, and some very nice ones as well. It is the first game of the season, and we won, Next week will tell us a bunch!!!
towles acknowledged when he missed on throws and you could see that he knew he missed some big plays and he put it on himself. at least we got the win. this is the exact type of team that we lost to in jokers last year and stoops first year.... and we won this time playing badly. either you think we played our A game and this was the best we could do or you think this was our C game and we still won.
i like our chances to go bowling this year and saw a whole lot of potential in that offense tonight. geeze when that thing gets on page together they are gonna put up #'s. baker, bone, garret, badet, timmons... got to get conrad envolved and then this O will have some damn weapons.
