I really like Pope. A great hire. I like the players on this team. They are what they are. Oweh is the only player that can manufacture his own shot. He is a warrior. Williams might as well be 5'10". I like Garrison. Lot of potential. Butler, as great as he can be at times, can be just as bad with his loose ball handling, There is no backup unfortunately. Robinson disappears. I'm tired of every game hearing Brea is the best shooter in college. Tell that to the guys who shut him down every game. Noah gave a good account of himself today. Lot of effort. I thought the 2nd half effort was good but when shots don't fall it's tough. This team will be as pre season predicted. A .500 team. The SEC is brutal this year as we all know. I will continue to pull for them. But there is a reason they were in the portal not the league.

Noah and Perry are going to have to continue to get into the fray. I kind of liked Noah's minutes today.
Noah is what he is love the hustle a d play but unfortunately he is not a difference maker at this level
That's not what he or Perry are here to be.
But they both have given minutes that they need to give.

This is actual constructive criticism. Unlike most posts that are "we are screwed, fire pope now, forfeit the rest of the season"
We played absolutely awful today. 16-17 turnovers is unacceptable for a 7th-8th grade team. But we've also seen what this team can do when they play good and when they are on the same page they are insanely good. People forget that too easily. Just got to find a good rhythm thankfully we still have a month to get really going.
If not oh well. Its the first season for Pope a new staff and all new players. Rushed together and thrown out there. Still gave us some great wins and has shown major promise for the future of the already historic program.

I don't think that will happen. I think that is an overreaction comment. This team just isn't good enough to have a winning record on the road in the SEC. This team is going to be hard to beat in Rupp.
Sad truth is that they just don't have it, and they aren't going to suddenly find it because they never had it to start with.
This team was slapped together from portal leftovers. If some of these players had been good enough they would have been playing for a contender team from the jump instead of Drexel and Fairleigh Dickinson.
I thought everyone knew this season was a throw away no matter what happened. We all hoped they would be world beaters but I think most of us knew the truth. We just have to ride it out and hope they get healthy again.
