This one tweak could save the season.

Cal should seriously think about getting thrown out of any game within 5 points in the first half going forward - so all of them.

At the beginning of the second half, Cal should give the refs an earful, run out on to the court and stomp around making an ass of himself to get thrown out so that our other coaches can properly lead our team to its best chance of victory.

Can could just recognize that he doesn’t know what he’s doing and take a leave of absence. No Technicals or free points given to the other team to overcome. I’d tune in to listen to cal say “I suck at this, I’m doing what’s best for the team and stepping away”.

Maybe Cal can have a bad back just like Coach K did when Duke had that terrible team. Cal knows everyone is mad at him so he might just fall down in the huddle and be out for the rest of the season. That would be a perfect excuse for Cal for him not to coach. If anyone asks the players how Cal is doing they could say I don't know we haven't seen him.

Zone takes practice too. And zone is not the solution! Do you think these players are not capable of playing at least average m2m defense? Of course they are. Defense is 80% desire, effort, communication, and playing smart. The other 20%, athletic ability is there. So they either can’t/won’t learn to play good D, or the desire/effort isn’t there. Either way, a zone does not fix that problem.
A zone is good when you have a specific guy you are trying to hide on Def, but it doesn’t help you hide 4-5 guys.

No I don’t think they can and yes so practice a zone, they have had a 100 practices by now to do it.
