I have so many thoughts about our backup QB situation. I feel bad for the kid for being thrown into that situation where we were in flat out desperation mode to save what was left of the season. It was never going to be a successful move and I feel we would have been better off keeping BVG in the game.
Wimsatt cannot throw the ball. 99% of his pass attempts were such poorly thrown balls. Not only inaccurate, but he couldn’t even throw a tight spiral. How he is a QB, I don’t know. Why we recruited him, is an even better question.
With that being said, why do we NEVER have a decent backup? I mean our backups consistently year in and year out look like they are playing QB for the first time. Meanwhile, we get our asses kicked by a backup last week that dropped 48 points on us.
