This NBA season will be one long recruiting ad for UK

I stayed up late to watch the Lakers-Timberwolves game last night. Not only did Julius Randle and Karl-Anthony Towns show out as expected with great games, but even Tayshaun Prince got some good minutes. The announcers talked A LOT about the huge number of Kentucky players in the league now and how it is a "brotherhood" they all share no matter how few years they played at UK. They gushed over Karl-Anthony and how impressive a young man he is in addition to being a great player, and what a credit that is to the coaching staff at UK.

If I had been a fan of any other college I would have been mighty annoyed. If this is any indication of what we are going to see and hear on TV this year, it is going to be one long commercial for UK. If you aren't a NBA fan, you should be now!

The next 10 years are going to be a Recruiting Ad for Kentucky - Davis, Cousins, Towns, Wall, Bledsoe, Knight, Randle, Booker, Noel, WCS - the list goes on and on and they are all young! Exciting time to be a UK fan.

I, too, enjoyed Tirico's commercial for UK basketball.

He said something along the lines of, "there a lot of UK players across the league now, but very few of them are teammates." Then basically, he attributed it to so many of them being top draft picks.

(He didn't mention Sacramento).

Karl Anthony Towns is an all time great young man. I mean that kid has "IT" man. I am twice his age almost and admire him. The way he carrys himself, the way he speak's, his choice of words. His parents and grandparents did one hell of a job.
