When you have 7 players in double figures its going to be hard for a guy to put up 25 plus and carry a team.
Kentucky has been a balanced scoring team are year. It's going to stay that way.
Robinson will have 25 point games now and then. But with the balance they have he isn't going to do that all the time.

Alabama might have more transfers than guys that came from HS on their roster. Sears, Youngblood, Nelson, and Omoruyi just off the top of my head. I think the key is to get transfers with multiple seasons of eligibility (like Sears and Nelson, the two best players for Bama today, and like Oweh and Garrison who you say were our best players). And then high impact freshman that may only stay for a year or two, and one or two lower rated guys, Kentucky kids when possible, that you can expect to stick around and provide continuity.

Those 2 are STUDS!!! and are AND were BAMA's best 2 players. Oats went to the final 4 last season, plays an attractive style and Bama pays there players pretty good, so he is going to get the VERY BEST from the portal.

BUT, Coach Pope ONLY had 2 months to assemble this team!!! They are competing with EVERY great team on our schedule!!! Give him another year or 2 and UK will be getting the BEST out of the portal AND from the HS ranks!!!

Today should be a reminder of how DIFFICULT it has been for coach Pope and UK STILL is competitive. With Coach Pope's style of basketball, which is JUST AS FUN to play in as Oats, it won't be long before we are back at the TOP again!!!!

Patience is HARD but will be worth it in the end!!!!

Yet we were winning before the refs called 10 fouls on us in the first 8 minutes of the half.

Yet we were tied with 5 minutes left.

If you want to say they made more plays down the stretch. Sure. But we’ve had a bunch of important games where we made more plays down the stretch.

If your expectation is having a chance into the second weekend Jax is gonna have to be special. Teams are gonna just face guard Brea and make him do something about it, and Butler and Oweh are just too short for the defense to care enough to collapse and then you're stuck. He has to step up and be an NBA level talent we thought he was.

Sears had 24. Nelson had 25. They both came from the portal. The guys that hurt us the most are transfers. This game is actually the WORST example to argue the point you’re trying to make.

Nelson was from mid major, but he was one projected as first round in mock drafts. He did have talent. But the portal frontcourt guys we recruit do not have huge talent (except for maybe Garrison), and this causes huge problem to our physically, rebounding, defense. Imagine we have Randle or Bam in this game and we wins. Talent is important

All that happened is one team hit more shots down the stretch than the other.

The back to back 3s for Bama to extend the lead to 9 was back breakers.

But we also have guys that have made big shots down stretches of games.

It is what it is. Just an insanely competitive conference.
