I think he and other announcers who defend obvious missed calls by refs are cowards who are to scared of the repercussions of saying what everyone sees.

I don’t think this is true, but if it is i would love to see the rule that says your hand is part of the ball while you are shooting.
It's not true lol. You literally can't hit someone's hand like that whether they are dunking or shooting a 3. It's a foul (well not when you play for Kentucky I guess)

I know it’s not, i was trying to be nice. I am somewhat sympathetic to situations where someone goes through the players hand to hit/block the ball that is contacting their hand, but that is not what happened on the Williams play.

What we think and what the rules are is a different thing. The hand is part of ball is the language used so everyone can understand it.
If you want the official language , you have to understand what legal and illegal contact.
Legal Contact:
- If a defender is making a play on the ball and their contact is with the offensive player's hand that is in contact with the ball, it is a legal play and not a foul.
And you can say that all day and all night, but if it’s true the refs don’t apply the same rule to 3 point shots.
So only hitting their hand and ripping it off the ball like what happened would be a foul got it. Thank you
It depends if you get arm , wrist or fingers after the ball left the hand, or if you don’t allow him to land that is illegal contact and foul and 3 shots.
If you get him after he lands and let’s say push him, that’s a non shooting foul. So there are different aspects that are considered. But just like any other human activity, interpreting the rule can be situational and subjective and refs do mistakes.
There is no ref that can say had a perfect game. If they call it both ways the same than we should be okay .
If the hand is on the ball and you hit the hand trying to hit the ball is not a foul. If you get other parts of the player is a foul. You are welcome.
In the play we are talking about he hits Williams hand and pulls it off of the ball. Per your own description the second Williams right hand is no longer on the ball it becomes a foul

Regardless, I get it we are all upset cause of injuries and result but we didn’t lose this game because of ref., though they had plenty of mistakes on calls.

Only the part of the hand that is on the ball. They clearly got Amari on the lower part of his hand and onto his wrist which is a foul.
On shot too….When a player's hand is in contact with the ball , while dribbling, holding, passing, or shooting, that part of the hand is considered part of the ball.

We got 30 pieced by a much better team while we were woefully shorthanded. Oh and it was our second game in less than 24 hours. If you think the refs had anything at all to do with that loss then I just can’t relate to you at all
