Yep. One guy predicting Kentucky beats Tennessee AND Alabama. That's definitely Bold.Nice.
These guys are SEC folk, but are not Kentucky homers.
Hearing them effortlessly rattle of a dozen names of players shows that Kentucky football has the attention of the South.
They did their homework, keying on our rebuild of the O-line, and the potential of teaming a Coen/Leary offense with our typically stingy defense.

QFT.IMO, season just depends on how healthy key positions can stay.
We had losses last year in which we gave up 22, 24, 24, 16, and 21. Tennessee is the only team who put up more than 24 on us. If our defense is as good as last year and the offense takes a big step forward, we could have a great year.
Great point. The curse of the bye week looms large.Kentucky has all of the pieces to have a historic season, meaning the ceiling is 12 wins IMO. However to me the key to achieving 11 or 12 wins is to be able to minimize the let down effect. You cannot avoid let downs, all teams have them, but the Georgias and Bamas of the world know how to manage them with just enough but not too much put into prep and optimizing their substitution schedule. The other things is they have to come off of bye weeks with more energy and effort than they have in the past. Once again we get UT in an ideal situation we are coming off of a bye week and they are coming off Bama. That SHOULD be a big advance Kentucky. If we can't do those things than Mizzou and Tennessee come in our house and go out with Ws.
So we talk about how great Coen is at running an offense and how great White is at running a defense, all need now is for Stoops to have a great year a managing the team.
That's true, but we play that way consistently year after year. 2022 our per game average was 20.4 points for to 19.2 points against. The previous year when we were 10-3 with a Citrus Bowl win, it was 32.3 points for to 21.7 point against. So, if our defense stays at the level it has been but the offense is back to a 2021 level, we can have a great season.Stats are sometimes misleading. UK is very physical, in the past has been methodical offensively, taking their time to run plays leads to lower scores, its the way UGA plays because Stoops and Kirby like it. Leads to better defensive stats. While teams like UT who push pace and quick scores also leads to a tired defense, more points given up and poorer stats. With new rule changes I expect a few less points being scored, unless changes in offensive styles are made.
I think the only thing that might hurt us is depth !Kentucky has all of the pieces to have a historic season, meaning the ceiling is 12 wins IMO. Gotta win those west road games too. With msu having a new coach and scheme perhaps we can do it?Kentucky has all of the pieces to have a historic season, meaning the ceiling is 12 wins IMO. Agreed. Uk has all the pieces, if the Oline is average or + it could be a very good year.We had losses last year in which we gave up 22, 24, 24, 16, and 21. JJ Weaver says the Oline is much improved so far in fall camp. Here's hoping 🤞Agreed. Uk has all the pieces, if the Oline is average or + it could be a very good year.
Thats the SEC in general even the Bama’s of the league will have problems if they lose starting Qb . Yes UGA and Bama are deep but injuries always seem to come in bunches and almost any teams season can be derailed by them .I love our team this year but we are thin in many spots including QB, OT, ILB and WR. I believe we are upper echelon with our starters but one or two injuries with the aforementioned positions and we are probably screwed. I mean if Leary goes down it may be the Lynn Bowden show again because we have nothing behind him (and before anyone mentions Wade, spare me, he was about as raw as any QB I've seen here and that's saying something).
If we stay farely healthy I really like our chances for 8-9 regular season wins.
