"there's a lot of rumors that i'm going to an Adidas school. i never said that." (video)

There is no doubt in my mind that this kid will end up at an Adidas school. Spin it how ever you want but he was just back tracking when he say"d that he never made the comment that he was for sure going to an Adidas school. Isn't KU an Adidas school.

Uhh....yeah he did.

Either way, this is pointless, of course he's going to say this. But in the end, he's going to an Adidas school.

The only reason I see now for Brown to wait is the UNC scandal. Everything else has basically set for next year. Jaylen's favorite team status is still unknown and had Ingram gone there, it would have made it better for us IMO.

Cal says he's building our team around Tyler; time for us to get the last puzzle piece.

Ingram's favorite team was UNC, and he picked Duke and most believe the scandal had a very real impact.

If education is a real factor for Brown (it's not, BTW, he's bouncing after one season no matter where he goes and could always transfer his credits from lowly old UK-- LOL-- to one of these esteemed institutions of higher learning that he's considering once his playing career is done if it's that important), then I have a hard time seeing him going to a school in the midst of a huge academic scandal, regardless of how highly their actual legitimate academics are rated.

I guess no one cared when it looked like he wasn't coming here. Now it's very significant. I'm startin to think it's is. You can't tell me we aren't the favorite to win it all with the #1 PG, the #1 SF and the #1 C/overall. Not to mention Ulis.

I'm starting to get real excited.

Those rankings sound so familiar to the team who won it last year......name not to be spoken.

I agree. If we land Brown we add the #1 SF to the #1 C and the #1 PG in the class (not to mention two 4-star shooting guards) and throw them into the mix here at UK with the top returning PG in the nation and two of the best upperclassmen big men in the country - nothing but good things can come of this.

One thing that I've always said is that a solid backcourt ALWAYS trumps a solid frontcourt. You can have the best 4's and 5's in the nation, but if you don't have a consistent backcourt with a solid 1-2 combo you're never going to amount to much. We will have the best backcourt in the nation in my opinion with Ulis and Briscoe. Add into that players who can actually shoot the ball and this team can be as dangerous as any Cal's had here, but the wing is the position that is in flux right now and the addition of Jaylen Brown would make a WORLD of difference between this being an Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight type of team to a team capable of winning a National Championship.
