So Trump has got Russia to agree to slow Their Black Sea warring in exchange for US sanctions relief while just jawboning Ukraine to completely stop returning fire from Russia firing there. But no agreement between the fighting parties. What a deal !!

What does Ukraine get?​

Ukraine appears to gain little from the agreement. Ukrainian sea drones previously drove Russia’s Black Sea Fleet away from its prized main port of Sevastopol on the occupied Crimea peninsula, opening the door to seaborne exports of Ukrainian grain.

If confined to strikes on ships, the truce would appear to benefit only Russia by limiting Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

Ukraine said it agreed to the deal but would defend itself if Russia sent warships into the western Black Sea.

“The Ukrainians have already defeated the Black Sea Fleet, which hasn’t really participated in the war for about a year,” said George Barros, an analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, a Washington-based think tank. The cease-fire “wouldn’t change anything in the reality of the war, it just protects a few, limited ships the Russians have.”"

So much doing this in a day, even a week, even a month. This is all about Ukraine surrender, not peace. Can't even move towards ceasefire, much less peace.

What I've seen solely from Trump through his message passer is claim a partial ceasefire where people are still getting killed & Russia taking more of the ground they want, and a Black Sea ceasefire where Russia kept shooting. It comes across as a Ukraine harness while Putin keeps moving forward. As for the minerals deal, what is he going to do with them? Send them to China to be processed since we don't have capacity to refine any more? But is continuing deaths a/the scenario? Beats me. Very opaque.
