The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

Signed, the baltics.

You refuse to acknowledge that in Ukraine we 1) orchestrated a coup 2) installed our preferred president 3) paid millions there to influencers 4) paid off 90% of their msm for friendly news coverage.

Until you and everyone pro Ukraine in this thread can admit these undeniable facts; none of you have any credibility.

Honestly it became political way before Trump was elected. Putin isn't a good guy, I think Zelensky started out trying to defend his country, and still is, but also figured out he could rich at the same time. Who knows to what degree Biden, etc were also getting rich. I'm trying to give Trump the benefit of the doubt here, that is this just Art of the Deal stuff, but he seems to have a blind spot for Putin.
Theres a really good reason that Hunters pardon went back to 2014... the same year he joined the Burisma board and Biden got the prosecutor fired or "you aren't getting the billion dollars"... Burisma was a way to get US and Europe financially tied to Ukraine.

You understand the fallacy here though, right? You are arguing Ukraine can join because Russia didn't attack after the Baltics joined... but then they did.... Which shows they were serious about Ukraine not joining. Now that they've killed damn near 1 million people are you willing to bet they are still bluffing, or will you finally admit they were serious this time and DC and EU made a horrible mistake???

Russia literally said they would shatter Ukraine before they would allow NATO to build bases there. How important is Ukraine to you?

Russia is badass. We should consider voting for Russia to be the 52nd state (after Canada).

Someone brought up this quote from a Chinese dude centuries ago about dimplomacy....

”If a country is small but not humble, if it is weak but not wary of the strong, if it is disrespectful and insults its large neighbors, if it is greedy, arrogant and undiplomatic, it will perish." Han Fei 280BC.

Han Fei’s Legalism was all about cold, hard logic—ruthless efficiency over moral idealism. Writing during the Warring States period, he saw small states get swallowed by bigger ones when they miscalculated their position. The quote lays out a recipe for disaster:

  • Small but not humble: A tiny nation acting cocky ignores its limited leverage.
  • Weak but not wary: Failing to respect stronger powers invites retaliation.
  • Disrespectful and insulting: Antagonizing big neighbors risks provoking their wrath.
  • Greedy, arrogant, undiplomatic: Overreaching and alienating others cuts off alliances and trade.
For Han Fei, “perish” isn’t just rhetoric—it’s a prediction. Small states that don’t play smart get crushed, absorbed, or erased. Think Qi or Yan getting steamrolled by Qin, which unified China under Legalist principles Han Fei championed.

It's age old logic like this that makes me crack up about people defending Ukr and Europe still.

Burisma was literally a usaid front to buy friendly media coverage. Hunter's firm pivoted it into more dough, all from taxpayers of course.

All they had to do was make hunter a silent partner. They had so much power, they didn't even see that as a necessity.

He's the younger version of the logically incoherent intransigent pro-war position.

And that ancient Chinese analysis is very good. There's nothing new under the sun. This war was as avoidable as it was unnecessary, as everyone informed fully understood, but there was money to be made and a geopolitical foe to be agitated. It's as simple as that.
