The Ukraine war. (Yes, we'll mind our manners)

Figured you'd call me a jewish hater or something, typical of bible thumpers. And lol at greatest ally. I'd put France and the UK above them.

I'm just saying, stop giving aid to Israel if you're worried about, fighting other wars for other countires, Israel doesn't need it. Your argument holds no water, either you're against foreign aid, or you're not. You don't want to fund Ukraine because fox news told you so. And you support Israel because the bible. If you're worried about US hostages, we have a millitary you know. Think of it this way:

Conservatives view political conflicts as civilization vs. barbarism. Israel represents civilization in the Middle East, so that's who they support. Why you support Israel.

Progressives view political conflicts as oppressor vs. oppressed. The Palestinians are oppressed, so that's who they support.

Libertarians view political conflicts as liberty vs. coercion, why I support Ukraine.
The last part is wrong...not the principle of non aggression and coercion. That's correct. You can and even should support Ukraine. Its the real issue, the one that you simply cannot grasp, even with the before mentioned sentence stated over and over and over. That theres nothing in libertarianism that says a 3rd party outside entity should dump their treasure into the conflict, or 3rd party inserting itself to coercing. Real libertarians know that Ukraine and Russia both will lose this. They also know fake libertarians were silent on the aggression and coercion on its ppl during the Ukrainian coup...bc the fake libertarians can just only scream Russia! and think you're creating some false equivalence...they're not, they're just pointing out your principles come and go.

On the other about Israel, their standard of living is higher than the US, they dont need our treasure either, but your question should be should we also be providing said treasure also to the other side who is harboring our citizens whose they've taken aggression against.

Don't post here much but I was just wondering if the Ukraine won the war in the first 3-6 months like some on here said they would or are we still laundering money for the dims and Rinos. If so (last part of sentence) have those of you who posted it would be over in 3-6 months come to the realization that the dims and Rinos pushed for this to line their pockets yet?

Nope. For some unknown and inconceivable reason, they evidently believe we can and should fund a meaningless forever war while our country collapses.

I predicted this war will end with a compromised treaty that gives Russia some land that was previously Ukraine. I do not know if we will cave to the NATO exclusion provision, but feel that is probably on the table.

OR, Russia eventually wins.

We have seen hype posts here that appear to have been posted to suggest Ukraine can win, but I don’t see many posters advocating that position. If they don’t hold that prediction, they essentially want more war.

The pro war people will call this Russia propaganda but this is a pretty good podcast by 2 guys who have been following the war and are very sympathetic to Ukraine but just disagree with the facts on the ground. Willy is an Australian Vet who knows a few guys fighting for Ukraine in the foreign legion. HL has been covering war from a historical perspective for years.

Worth a listen if you are open minded about how stuff is really unfolding on the ground.

Is supporting a country against Russian aggression not based on the wellbeing and interests of the US? Yes, it is. We are in a defense pact with most of Europe. That says should Russia or anyone else attack, we will get involved. Supporting a country before that happens, is logical and protects the wellbeing of Americans. By preventing a larger war.

Like I said, there's no logic in your position. Sending aid to a top 10 military in the world is retarded. Send the US millitary to do it's job, and get US citizens out of Gaza. If you're against foreign aid, that should be a pretty good compromise.
What makes you think Israel has a top 10 military? I've only found 1 list that says this and that list amusingly has Russia as 1st. This one seems pretty well vetted.

As you can see, Iran is ahead of Israel.

You should read this.

This is a bit more forgiving.

The bottom line is this, I think there are better sources out there than HL.

I'm not watching an hour youtube video. 15 minutes, ok, but not an hour. You final thought is baseless and lazy.

If Israel has the #3 military and U.S. interests (like the protection and safety of its citizens or recovering US hostages) were sufficient, we should support them. I am not sure how that is an issue.

If people disagree, what, if anything, should our country do when terrorists who run a government kill Americans and take others hostage?

Bend the knee to Hamas? Attempt to justify their murders?

Do we think Hamas does not know they took Americans hostage? Is it somehow justifiable because those Americans are also Jewish?

Again, imagine Brittney Griner a Hamas hostage. Would we just overlook it and not talk about it?

I dont think that was for me.

You can watch daily updates of the map and see the truth. Ukraine loses one or 2 cities/towns per day and it goes unnoticed and then Ukr does one big thing and it gets sold as the end of Russia. Ukr is still in the same boat they've always been in.... They can't win without a massive influx of NATO soldiers or massive use of NATO missiles used inside of Russia.

They had better negotiate to save whatever they can of Ukraine.
I fear they'll try to do something drastic before Trump takes office in order to prolong this war with NATO boots. Even the Ukr puppets on youTube are admitting the last couple weeks have been horrible for Ukraine. Russia isn't just attacking 2 zones at one time anymore. They are attacking 5 or 6 zones and Ukr just doesn't have the manpower to support all of them so 1 or 2 get rolled up everyday.

Not much reason for Russia to even negotiate then. Their terms, when they do, will be the Donbas and no Ukrainian entry into NATO. And that would be generous.

I hope we don’t have a Ukraine cannot lose perspective. I know a lot of extreme talk has been uttered by our leaders, but I don’t think we have seen anything that demonstrates Russia is a real threat to NATO. If Russia will come to the table, maybe before winter is a good time to attempt a negotiated outcome. But, that is just speculation. Getting this over would be good.

It was taking Russia months to take over a town last year. Now they are taking them in a day or 2. It's speeding up to. Ukr has had more surrenders the last couple of weeks than they did the first year.

Donald Trump Jr. just send the message about what to expect. He's not the President elect, but I kind of get a feeling that he might know what's up. I don't think he just went rogue lol. Basically, he said the "allowance" for The Ukraine is getting cut. Too bad, so sad.

The people pushing the continuation of the Ukraine War have significant financial interests in it. Ian Bremmer is a perfect example of this.

This is the biggest racket I've ever seen. And it seems like it is being pushed by people in their 50's, 60's and 70's (e.g., people who view this as their last big opportunity to make a score). It's absolutely despicable.

Follow the ****ing money.

Going on three years now. It was stated very plainly to some hard heads that wars typically spiral out of control and that unforeseen consequences are extremely dangerous.

I don't know who to believe about this war but when you have to put north Koreans on the front line and all they want to do is jack off, I'm not entirely convinced that the shadow governments on both sides don't see this as an excellent cash grab opportunity.

I'm going to start a window locking business in Russia, should be a millionaire in a month.

My favorites now are the 70-year old PE guys who post on LinkedIn that we need to fund Ukraine because it’s important for democracy, world peace, and future of our world.

Then you look at their job history and you see they own an attack drone manufacturing company in Ukraine.

Scum bags

Doesn't the majority of the money go back to the weapons industry, most of which are public? People love to say "follow the money" and then don't follow anything at all.
