I hate it.

I'd love to see the % of those plays that end up with 5 or more yards. Has to be low. Just from what I see, it seems like way over half end up with 2 yards or less. Malzahn called a bunch last night and most went nowhere. Bama just called two in a row that netted 1 total yard.

Think so many teams have used them that they just don't surprise anyone anymore. Once in a while, you'll get a homerun. But the majority look to me like wasted plays.

You have to have the personnel. Someone with enough speed and agility to make the blitzing safety miss. If you do, you catch the over pursuing defense on their baxks and kiss them goodbye.

Its essentially an outside run play, and helps keeping defense honest, gives them something else to account for instead of teeing off on the run game
