The future of our O line is certainly looking good. GAA looks to maybe start this year and Young And Jackson look to be very good future players too. Stoops is building an o-line folks.

It's funny how that you read one thread that the O-line is limping on one leg... Then you look at another thread and see an offensive line that will be a future wall... I have to go with the wall.. These are serious O-linemen that we're getting and trying to get.... Along with a lot of other talent.... I see the best O-line in the history of UK in a couple of years...

Since there are very very few freshmen who can come into the SEC as a starter without a RS year I can't help but think the talk about George AA is either bluster or a sign of just how bad our OL actually is. Cam Robinson started for Bama last year as a freshman but just to keep things in perspective he was the fourth ranked player in the country overall and a five star progeny. I just think some people should temper their expectations a bit.

I can't wait to see our future line. These men are lineman of the caliber of which we've never had. If Kentucky is to climb the ladder in the SEC, it will start at the line of scrimmage. I really hope Krok gets lined out. I've always wanted to see a dominant line on both sides of the ball at UK. Kudos to Stoops and the rest of the staff for putting such an emphasis on improving such a key position.

I don't have much faith in Swindle at left tackle, he struggled at the right tackle position last year and they expect him to move to the side that takes the most talent on the o-line? Watching some film last year he looked outmatched ,not to mention his constant mental mistakes. If the youth is more talented you play it in my opinion, especially with a guy that can't keep from false starts. It just goes to show he is intimidated by the guy across the line of scrimmage and knows he needs the jump on them to beat them. The guy has started every game the last two years at right tackle and still can't excel so they move him to the left side which takes more talent? I just don't get it, I think he gets benched early if he can't show he is an effective pass blocker. Too much young talent and you might as well give them reps if your senior is causing penalties and getting flat out beat.

I do not think that Swindle is intimidated by the player across from him. IMO he is just over aggressive, has a mean streak and is chomping at the bit to get into his man and do some damage. Swindle has like you said been prone to early starts but he has been one of the best OL that UK has had the past several seasons. IMO his problem is that he is overly aggressive and that is something that can be coached.

I hope what you are saying is correct, but I just dont buy it. Time will tell. Id say if he cant hold the line this year as a senior you go ahead and put george in. If i have to play a sporadic linema than i go with youth and potential

There are a few that can, Robinson is one, Tunsil at Ole Miss was another, usually only a handful each year who can play LT as true frosh. I think quite a few more play RT and G, at least quite a few more than play LT because teams want their best pass rusher coming from the blind side. Those that can come in and do that as true frosh are usually 3 year guys. I would be surprised if George AA isn't starting before many games are played for UK, maybe not LT but he might be UK's best OL, at least of the returning players, don't really know about the redshirts. Not many 4 year starters at C either because of the calls they have to make. But they are golden when you get one.

True that you shouldn't expect OL to play early but it doesn't take the 4th ranked player in the country to do it. Larry Warford did it for us as 3 star recruit a few years back. Darrian Miller also started as a true freshman. That's not to say that we should expect any of these guys to start as freshmen. It will take at least a couple years for most.

Where is this being reported? Not seeing it anywhere.
Patrick Loney with Scout has tweeted tonight he has confirmed the departure with a source.
I hope coaches can talk him into returning.

Went from really excited about Krok to a little let down the first open practice I saw him where he was getting run around and over real bad. Remember being deflated about him that day and was really hoping he would develop. Goes to show how much agility and athletic ability play in vs just brute size

When Krok inked with us several media people were saying out of that class that Krok had the most potential out of all of em. That is saying a lot. Wonder what is going on with him?

I'm so excited about our future O-Line. It is still going to take a couple of years for your talented youngsters to have an impact in the SEC.

Usually when a tackle jumps off sides he is overly concerned about getting a step on the dlineman or otherwise getting beat.

A lot is unknown about this situation at present but I would not be surprised to learn that his departure is mutual.
