The number of top 10 and even top 25 teams we've had to play this year is ridiculous.

And the problem is once you get stuck with a bad schedule you have it for two years . We should drop UL and all four of our OC games should be against cupcakes . Division 1 but teams we should easily beat . If SEC does go to nine games God help us.

Every year is a bad schedule n the sec for UK. I think not having divisions makes it even tougher.

It’s definitely tough compared to what we’ve been used to in the East as it had been and MSU the annual west team. Toughest since the East ruled the conference. Off the top of my head maybe the toughest since 2007 when we played 8 bowl teams including LSU, UF, Georgia and UT that all finished in the top 13 and UL, sc and Arkansas that were ranked at various points during the season. It’s not going to get any easier than we used to have it.

UK would get absolutely throttled by Carolina right now.
Yes we would but with better coaching we should be right there with them. On paper they are about equal with us. Looks like Shane Beamer paid attention at the dinner table growing up whereas Stoops obviously did not. He hasn’t changed a dang thing in twelve years here. Still an ugly, clunky offense.

I don't know what the hell you're talking about OP.
Almost every game we lost we were the favorite to win

Texas Tennessee and Georgia Mississippi the only underdog games we've had all year.

At most we should have four losses. Favored to win the rest.
Schedule if you ask me was easy

Great reply blue ,but most Kentucky football fans except beat downs and want us to continue with the present staff .they slobber over stoops, and make every lame ass excuse for why he sucks so bad . They tell us that want to win and win big to except our place in the sec THE CELLER it will never happen at Kentucky. We are a basketball school Blue accept your place . These same losers are the ones that told us that we can't replace calipari too, just except it that's the basketball landscape now but man can he recruit . Notice the similarities

Come on, Carolina may have the best QB-RB combo in the conference, the best pass rush and an early round S. And it pains me to say that. Their QB makes them a threat to beat anyone.

Well boo hoo, fold the program and give up ? I aint buying this " our schedule is so tough " excuse .. It's how we lose . Period . LACK OF DISCIPLINE , LACK OF ANY OFFENSIVE IMAGINATION, CANT DEVELOP A QB , NO CLOCK MANAGEMENT , NOT GETTING THE BALL TO PLAYMAKERS , RARELY USING THE TE , I could easily go on , but none of it is the opposing team being that much better than us on paper .

Again, coaching. S Carolina developed Norris into a pretty good QB as a RFr. Sanders was a great add because they had no other quality RB's on the roster. And their DE's are a problem, no doubt.

Now lets compare that with UK's lack of coaching, development, motivation and discipline.

We have not devloped a QB since Stoops has been here. Some would say Levis but he was better when he came in than when he left so some/most credit goes to Penn State's coaches. I would venture to say we've had the worst QB development of any staff in the last 12 years. Lack of coaching.

We did not add a quality RB in the portal even though we desperately needed one. Trayunum had never been a starter anywhere he's been so he was a bit of a reach. Our lack of a running game has killed us this year because we've never been consistent throwing the ball. Now I will say our coaches have done a good job with DSK, who is more of a change of pace back who lacks explosiveness. But it also took our coaches 10 games to realize Wilcox is our best back and it's not even close.

Our DL was one of the highest rated in the SEC preseason featuring 1st round pick Deone Walker. Walker is a prime example of someone who takes half the plays off and gives average effort. With proper coaching and motivation, he could be the most dominant DL in college football. Instead, you don't even know he's on the field. The rest of our DL is littered with 4 star players but we rarely get a pass rush. And our vaunted run defense has collapsed too. There's been 3 or 4 RB's have career games against us this season. Again, lack of coaching.

Our safety play over the last few years since Buffano was hired has been bad. We are constantly out of position. Again, bad coaching.

I hate to say it because I can't stand the little weasel, but Beamer looks like a good coach. When he was hired I was literally laughing at S Carolina thinking they would continue to stink. But he's been solid to good with some really big wins.

That excuse worked about 10 years ago. CMS knows what’s coming every year.

He’s the most tenured experienced coach in the conference one of the most in nation or at least P2/P4.

Makes me realize we’re not gonna’ get it done with this head coach……
Stoops problem is he's too loyal and let Cohen play him again and again. With a good offense this team is top 25. Our defense has been fatastic until it just couldn't hold up due to inept offensive play.

Don't bring in OCs that have one foot in the NFL already. Never should have brought him back. We would have an experienced and cohesive offense by now with a 2 or 3 year OC

I don't think Stoops is a national championship caliber coach necessarily but he's the best coach UK has had and he's been loyal.

Kentucky has the worst SEC level talent base in the league by a lot. We are well down the list in NIL money available. We have a tiny stadium by SEC standards. Our tradition and reputation nationally is crap but it's always the coaches fault for the past 70 years now. Having a fan base with no appreciation just pitch forks does not help matters. Another favorite is claims the AD just doesn't want to win. He just refused to invest in FB was the claim as if it was always available and he just didn't want to use it.

If he was so overly loyal his pal Eddie Gran would still be OC. I definitely think we would be better off with the stability of Gran all this time.

With a good offense he would have had a few more top 25 teams. The problem is that he doesn't have good offenses. We can blame it on this one thing here or there but it's THE longstanding issue among other issues. We're on here grasping for any sense of hope we can through some promise that Boley showed. Think about how bad it is when fans are excited by a half of football that only generated 120 yards of offense and no offensive td's because of the promise shown by a couple of throws.

I think Boley is the decision maker, and should be. If he has a big outing against U of L, stays, and '25 class is stabilized as a result, maybe Stoops should be retained, but with it understood any portal QB this cycle is a reserve, and knows it. It's high time we ride or die with a long-term QB. Go back to portal for OL of real merit.

Since the playoff committee has basically created a race to the bottom, your suggestion makes since. I mean if they are going to seed 10 win teams from BS conferences full of light-weights, then we should do what we can to lighten the load as much as possible. We are impacted more than most of the other SEC teams but all of them are being impacted to some degree and those with weaker schedules will get harder ones later.
