the fact is a noa exists. and people can say nothing will happen all they want. but something is going to happen. it's playing devil's advocate, and begging karma to prove us wrong quickly, to satisfy a thirst for some kind of quicker justice that has us saying nothing will happen. and we can say it all we want. but the mountain of evidence is there. and it can't be swept away now.

the ncaa has to punish north carolina. you know it deep down. they can't afford to be so blatantly greedy or retarded as a police force. their reputation as a business is otherwise tarnished. and that would get them where it hurts eventually ($). cbs and espn can't sell a shit product but for only so long. they have to punish unc or completely change their ad campaigns (and in so doing wholly admit to being morally corrupt greedy bitches which would be great). it's easier to punish them because "student athlete" is their whole pr set up and has been for a long time. people wouldn't buy "ameteur athlete" the same from them. the fact is punishing carolina helps their old pr campaign. it feels like they waited too long anyway, but they can still save some face.

it may not be the hammer unc deserves (death penalty) but it should be rather severe. call me ignorant, but i'm only using logic based on their own precedents (psu, syracuse, etc etc) exemplifying the range and power of their enforcement. or they'd lose all credibility and eventually validity imo in time. someone with a brain over there knows it.

the part about them (ncaa) being caught off guard i feel strongly about. just as we are caught off guard during a natural disaster. but having had time and rejecting at least to give scope for possible resolution means there's something (or someone) bigger at play that is helping unc. this is not provable to us. so i can't say anymore from where (or why) does this bias come to aid them. i can only say it shouldn't be able to aid them much longer or the product that is college basketball will be acknowledged more apathetically and hurt their billion dollar business.
