The loss to Kansas will help more than a win would have

Some things I take away from the Kansas game that doesn't need it's own thread. This one seems appropriate.

The score was about what our best-hoped-for expectations were last week at this time.

Ulis playing sick is THE toughest collegiate basketball player in the nation.

All of our guys played hard if not efficiently all night long. No lapses in effort.

If I were a KU fan, I'd be really ticked off if Seldon doesn't play like this the rest of the season. He's inconsistent at best.

Ellis' 10 pts were 60% free throws. In other words he was contained by Alex and company. In other, other words, Ellis as KU's leading scorer was checked.

That was an exhausting game for the players and for me. I'm glad they are young and able to recover before TN game.

Iron out some issues, mainly Big's defending without fouling and better shot selection. There were a few ill-advised three attempts that resulted in KU scores.

All-in-all, disappointed in not getting the win when we owned the majority of the game but excited that we met our best-hoped-for expectations.

Cheers to you, hope you enjoy our team as much as me.

I feel like I'm watching the 2010-11 team all over again. Just watching them grow right before our eyes.

Agree with the OP. This game has the potential to go down as the most important game of the season even though it was a loss. IF...everyone learns from it.

I understand the OP's point. But I'm not ready to concede that losing this game was more beneficial than winning this game. I mean, c'mon now...

I see your point I contend that it was a little better than a "wash". We did as well as most of last week's posters projected as a hope with a slight possibility of a win. Most were hoping that we wouldn't regress. I wanted a win but what we got was progress and a third game of consistent play from our team.

The loss will go further than a win would have as far as our hunger to be the best team we can be, Cal's ability to get their attention, etc....but a win would have helped enormously as far as seeding.

This team will NOT be blown out again and will have a chance to win every single game. That's when it gets fun.

Yea that Wisconsin loss helped a lot too.

The Wisconsin loss ended the season.
Still lots of basketball to be played post KU loss.
Get it? Got it? Good.
