There have been plenty of better teams than this UConn team not win it all.
It's nice of them to let Creighton think they have a chance in this game. Look for UConn to play around a bit in the second half to keep Creighton's hopes up and then actually start playing. UConn by 10+, it's a lock.
Their have for sure, but college basketball hasn’t been this “mid” in terms of really good teams either

Creighton is competition for UK seeding wise. UCONN is not. Not gonna get excited if Creighton wins this game.
UCONN it is unreal how good they are.
Creighton has 2-3 more losses plus one in conference tourney left. We handle business they won't be seeding competition.
This could have been last year's final four had the officials not made a BS call against Creighton against San Diego State.
That's a big if with our coach and team. We probably have 2 to 3 losses left ourselves sadly.
The exciting part is someone can beat UConn. Nobody has shown that recently. Not with Clingan back.
UConn has creighton right where they want them. You can see it from a mile away.
The key for us in a potential UConn matchup is can we limit second chance points.
The reality is, while the focus has been on defense, our biggest weakness is giving up 2nd and 3rd opportunities and being weak on the glass. (Which skews our defensive stats). Our first shot Defense, while not great, is average and good enough when combined w the offense.
UConn will also have to guard Dilly, Wagner, Reeves, Shep and I don’t know that they’ll shut us out from a defensive standpoint. They aren’t a “beat you up and manhandle you” defensive team. But they are super fundamental in all aspects. We can get to the rim and get shots. Can we defend the post and rebound???

They aren't in the class of last year's team... That said, they are one of 4/5 teams that can win it
If we ever meet up with UCONN Cal better get tape of all the Creighton games against them. Most losses against one team since 2019 at 6.
This will be a mental reset for the Huskies. Anyone wanting them to go down in March should want them to win tonight.
Last year's team was a four seed that got extremely hot during the tournament. This team has a 14 game winning streak. They beat a top 10 team by almost 30 points.
They are 3/4ths of the way through the game, and Creighton is 13-22 from 3 while UConn is 2-10. If we can do that, I think we have UConn in the bag lol

Clingan limping would be their biggest concern. They can get to the final four without him. I don't think they can win the title without him.
Don't write off UConn just yet tonight. They have 8 minutes for the greatest coach in college bball history to coach them to a 15 point win. Mark it down. I guarantee UConn wins this game!!! WooHoo! Hurley is unbeatable.

I think many see Uconn as the one team UK just can't beat right now, even if we have our best game. But I think tonight brings Uconn back down to earth. Plus, they seem to be more of a threat to us than Duke or Kansas is, at this point. Think of this, if Uconn wins that title then they pass Duke and tie with UNC for titles.. and IMO, thats who could actually pass UK in the next 15 years.. not any of the other blue bloods.
The lead is down to 10!! Hurley's team on a tremendous run. Nobody can beat him now. UConn should join the NBA next year. College teams cannot compete! Go UConn! Go DH!!
That's such a huge STRETCH that I don't think it should even be acknowledged. Sure they been hot the last quarter century. We all know maintaining that is very hard to do. For them to win 4 more in the next 15 years and us win none would mean they've won 9 in 40 years and we would be on a 27 year draught. Might as well play the powerball, the odds of you winning are the same as the odds that actually happens.
In my scenario above, they win this year, putting them at 6, just two behind us.
If Hurley goes back to back, he's going to start actually landing these top10 guys hes been missing out on.
Either way, who do you think catches us first, again, in my scenario. Uconn and Hurley with 6? Or UNC with 6, Duke with 5 or Kansas with 4?
I think it's much more likely they win 0 in the next 15 years than it is they win 4 more.
