Somewhere Brea has become confident and now needs to be talked up as a legitimate elite scorer that could be in the NBA one day

he probably should put together a few big scoring games in the spotlight. he has that opportunity. besides anything else, he’s already proven to be a competent basketball player. he has high stamina, takes care of the ball, will give you a few rebounds and doesn’t make selfish plays unless an iso is called. best for him, his mid range is going to another level.
It has been great to see his game evolve from more than just a 3-point sharpshooter to where he can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim.
He passed up a couple open 3s and drove in for a long 2. Pull the trigger man.
He will play in the league. He has improved throughout the year on twos and getting to the basket. He rebounds well. His defense has improved. He is only going to get better. If he can come in off the bench and hit threes at a higher percentage he can play for a long time in the league.
Not just an outside shooter anymore, drives to the basketball and starting to crete his own shots. Really improving. Defense is getting better and all the team is getting better on defense.
Brea has developed the rest of his game nicely, teams were not going to let him sit out there and shot so he adapted and excelled.
I do think he warrants a spot on an NBA bench. If I was Brea I'd spend my off-seasons continuing to work on his handles and maybe an increase his vertical.
For those that mention Klay.. it's not a terrible comparison, but there's two things that really separate them. 1. Klay was at times one of the better on-ball defenders in the NBA, which Brea really is not now (Although he's getting better) and 2. Klay did get to make his paycheck by having Curry next to him, often drawing double teams. As in, a guy like Klay really benefited from having Curry as his running mate (and vise versa). He probably doesn't have all the accolades if not for that.

He was absolutely terrible the 1st half of the season at every phase of the game - except three point shooting. He has put in the work and gained the confidence and is a legit big time player after today’s game. Dude flat out came outta that timeout and said “we ain’t losing this game”. 8 straight points in about 40 seconds.
His ability to go inside and look for twos has given him much more space to get off 5 or 6 open threes per game and his defense has improved significantly. Since JRob went down, Brea has been terrific.

He almost has to get drafted now right? I mean he's an incredible shooter...probably one of the best that CBB has seen in a while.

His ball handling has improved greatly and he now can score from anywhere, not just a 3 point specialist. Plus, he's beginning to show he can play some defense. Pope deserves a lot of credit for his development and getting him to where he may now have a NBA career.
Clearly pope coached him the hell up cause that’s a different player than we had 2 months ago. His confidence on offense and his defensive effort has been absolutely incredible
I honestly didn’t know he had those kind of handles. I feel like early in the season I didn’t trust him handling the ball. He showed some stuff today that was far different.
Brea was getting to his spots on offense tonight and Illinois couldn’t stop him. He can definitely make a living playing basketball.
That dude is balling. If he plays like this with Oweh and Butler stays on the floor. We can do this. Chandler is coming on huge.
