The Duke Board is pretty riled up

Depending on when Jefferson gets back and counting the ACC Tourny, I see 5-7 more losses for them. The longer it takes to get him back the more he's gonna be out of game shape and the flow of the team. They are doing no contact practices now, making them even softer. I'd absolutely love it if not for our RPI.

K may have a relapse of his back problem and have to sit out the rest of the season.
I remember him sitting out most of one season when they got off to a bad start and weren't expecting to get much better. One of the most classless acts I can recall from a coach.

Great, I it love when they're in meltdown mode.

I disagree. I could care less how they or any other team is doing. With the exception of who is next on the CATS schedule. Also there is the karma thing. It's all circular.......

Coach K had to be lost for words. Seem like he was in a daze. If things don't improve he might have to call Rick and get some press confrence pointers.

As a sufferer of back pain I have to stand up for Coach K. He had a bad back and surgery. Unless you have experienced lower back problems you don't even know. It hurts to lay down much less sit in a chair at a game for three hours

Plumlee BLATANTLY traveled on that last go ahead basket by Duke, never should have been in the position where a potential no-call foul could have been a deciding factor in the first place.

Duke complaining about officiating is preposterous. Officiating is biased in their favor 99% of the time.

what is sooooo great about K losing like this; it should (should) STFU the Cal haters ...and the crap that he a below average bench coach.
Again Cal is not perfect, and has had some coaching challenges, but the continually bashing and trolling should slow down.

I just wonder if anyone was hurt. Floor had to be slippery with all the spit and snot slinging that Ratface does at the refs, particular in a losing effort.

I really LOVE it when Duke loses.

.....Even more classless was firing the assistant that filled in for the rest of the season when Coach K went out with his back issues and then the school for not counting those games in K's overall coaching record.

Was he high?
If that had been Cal and he had spoken the same words he would be getting a call from the SEC offices(maybe even suspended for a game),fried in the media and UK wouldn't get a decent call the rest of the season.

They have some comedy gold over there. Them fighting with each other is great. Read the bolden thread we need to invite get nasty to join our board lol he's bickering with the elite of dukes board

They should be riled up.

Can you imagine if Cal lost 3 in a row, 2 of which are at home, and had an SEC team basically dominate us over the last 3 years? Duke is 1-4 against ND over the last 3 years.

I have had lower back pain and I do know how it feels, went to work lots of times with it. I'm sure a losing record didn't make it feel better.

thanks for some of you seeing through the hate to notice there ARE some things we lack to be really competitive right now....getting jefferson back will help, but if this team doesn't find some defense, well.......

It probably was a foul.... but I saw Plumlee get away with the same amount of contact at least 3 times in the last 3 minutes of play without calls. Refs did a good job of calling the game even down the stretch.
Why could anyone complain about one foul after all the calls that the refs have called for Dook all these years? This is the most Ironic thing that I've ever seen on this board... I didn't watch the game, and don't need too.. I'm sure that Dook got their pet fouls called for them... I'm also sure that Dicky V was probably the ring leader in crying about a foul....

"I saw Plumlee get away with the same amount of contact at least 3 times in the last 3 minutes of play without calls."

...as well as being able to practically run with the ball for 3-4 steps on the baseline without the travel being called....

some NIT talk over there as well....
It's unfortunately (or maybe fortunately from your point of view) not completely ridiculous. Thornton isn't ready to be the full-time point guard, Jefferson has no timetable for a return and Jeter is completely clueless, which is why Ingram has to play the four all game long. That can help him offensively, but can get him in real trouble defensively. He's not as suited to handle that position the way Winslow was last season.

Looking at their schedule in late Jan and Feb Coach K may be the most amazed person in college basketball

Yup. Wake at home may be the only "surefire" win in the bunch. Now I obviously believe they'll find a way to win a few more, but I can't look at any other game remaining on their schedule and say there's no possible worries of a loss.

I hope K continues to hate the OAD cycle to the point that he leaves the game.

I've tired of his smug ways and his snooty "my daddy is rich" protection from the refs.

Burn Duke to the ground. Call in Hannibal and his mangled Carthaginian lot; call up Khan and his ruthless Mongol hordes. Tell them there are fresh lands to destroy in Durham, a massive populace of New Jersey born Asian nerds and ugly chicks to enslave and pillage.

Burn Duke to the ground. Burn Duke to the fruitless ground.

Mahalo DodgerDukie...we appreciate honest, level-headed posts from fans from other schools. Duke does have a hard road to travel, but if they can get their shots to fall and have some guys match Marshall's grit...they can get it done.
