I would definitely say that 2010 got away. But it's hard to be upset because our players simply didn't know what to do against that zone. They had never seen a defense like that before and they just didn't know how to attack it. West Virginia delighted in each three point attempt that went up. If you make one or two maybe they come out of the zone. If you go inside to Cousins and try to get an easy bucket in the paint it might break up that zone and enable some easier, higher percentage shots, from other spots on the floor. But again, our boys just didn't know what to do. Tough loss to endure.
2015 was the other I think that got away. We go up but then our offense just collapsed. Our boys just didn't know what to do. I'll never forget the shot-clock violations. Just couldn't believe it, but it's hard to be too upset because it was another situation where we were in a tight game with a good team and just didn't know what to do exactly. I think everyone knows Cal wanted to go inside to Towns for a bucket but they just didn't know how to get the bball in there to him.
As far as the nonsense on this board: I'm going to post my opinion always whether some like it or not. If it's against the grain on here then so be it. It's how I feel. I'm more of a UK football fan than basketball, always have been, but I do follow basketball. I do feel like football has been unfairly treated due to basketball being so big here, but that is finally changing. I think some on here are very sensitive about Calipari. For some, he's the best thing in their lives, and anyone questioning the methods to his madness (which I do sometimes), is an enemy. Not true. Cal is not above reproach. His loss this summer was bad bad bad. Anyone who can't see that is too engulfed, too brainwashed. With Cal you take the bad with the good. Some point out the bad, some choose not to. And some, don't want to fathom bad.
