My dad and I had an interesting convo today for lunch I wanted everyone's opinion on...
First: all of this is operating on Cal going 40-0 and winning the title. If that happens, this is what the first 6 years of the Calipari era looks like:
Cal's record: 192-37 (84%)
5 elite eights
4 final fours
3 title game appearances
1 runner up
2 titles
*1 NIT
3 SEC Reg Season Champs
3 SEC Tournament Champs
24-3 tournament record
25 players drafted
2, possibly 3 #1 overall picks.
Now, with that being said, is that the most dominant run since the Wooden era?
And, factoring in how college basketball is now, accomplishment wise, is Calipari on the same pedestal as Adolph Rupp? Could Cal feasibly become the greatest coach to ever coach at UK?
Me personally, if he goes 40-0 in this day and age in college bball, he becomes the greatest coach to coach here. Just my opinion...
