The Bama game...What's your prediction?

Realistically Bama should win comfortably after losing Butler and playing until 1 am last night.

But realistically UMBC had no business beating Virginia, Fairleigh Dickinson had no business beating Purdue, St Peters had no business beating Kentucky, etc etc etc. Strange things can happen in March.

After the high of last night, I am predicting pain. I love my Cats, and this is nothing against this team because they have exceeded my expectations, but without Butler, this could get away from us fast.

If we limit turn overs and get offensive rebounds and play defense, we win.

Sears is going to be Fears. Untouchable by the refs. Your jersey touches his, its a Flagrant 40.

My hope:
UK 81
Bama: 77

Realistic:
UK: 80
Bama: 89

On paper, it’s not a great matchup for us. Alabama thrives on driving the ball with multiple guys, and we aren’t great at staying in front of the ball, especially with Butler likely out. We’ve already pulled off a couple of wins that seemed unlikely before tip-off though, so I’m not totally going to count us out.

Assuming Butler out , they roll us . Horrible timing to have to play our emotional hearts out to win a game . Then less than 24 hours later suit up against a rested team … we really needed to maintain that early momentum but with errors , subs , TOs etc we didn’t play well enough to hold a 6–10 point lead .

I predict Butler doesn't play and we take the L.

Hopefully he can come back for the NCAA tourney.

I predicted a close loss with Butler.

I expect a 10 to 12 point loss (at least) without him. Alabama is gonna score so maybe if we hit a ton of 3s we keep it close enough to have a shot. Idk.

My gut says it’s gonna be highly unlikely we win given our current situation. My heart says I won’t give up on this group ever because they surprise me every time I think they can’t win a game.
I thought we had no chance vs Duke, Gonzaga, at Tenn, at Mizzou, at Miss St, and we keep winning. So I just go in with the expectation anything can happen any game because we win and lose some head scratchers.

You can never count this team out, however bama is a different beast. They’ve beat us twice easily. They’re a legit final four squad. Without butler, it ain’t happening.

It's hard to beat a good team 3 times in one season. We have a good team. Sears can't outscore our whole team.

The guys will bust their butts to get another win for BBN, but I think Bama is just too much with us short handed.

Luckily, we have secured a 3 seed (or should have at least), so it doesn’t hurt us to lose this one.

Actually, we are beat up, so we could probably use the extra time off.

A win is possible, but unlikely. Maybe we catch Bama a little rusty and we stay in it and catch some magic. I expect our biggest hurdle tonight is being tired and slow, causing some big foul trouble.

Sears will shoot 27 FTs off of four fouls.

Brea hits 11 3’s…we win by 9.
I LOVE your attitude, BPC ! ! !
I too, have a positive attitude as I await the tip-off against The Tide.
Other than a couple of really good things that could happen with respect to my own family ... I can't think of anything that would please me more, in the next 24 hours, than to see the 'Cats upset 'Bama tonight.

Go 'Cats !

Ummm…we are Kentucky. I never expect to lose in basketball. The day that we as fans expect to lose to anybody is the day we are no longer the gold standard.
