First of all that took some balls to call that. If you watch the huddle Pope mouths…. I’ve got it… then draws on the board and you can see his marker shoot down the floor. What a call. He was asked about it in post game and said he thought that’s what would be given and not protected.
On the second issue. Why was that not reviewed as an intentional foul?? The defender was clearly behind and grabbed both hands on Lamont’s waist. Isn’t that the textbook definition of what the rule says is intentional?? Behind and no play on the ball?
