The “locker “ is live

Freddie Maggard knows who Joshua Jones is. Carter Hall suggesting Wade plays RB is unlikely, at best. If you listened to White discuss the kid on the signing day video, you can hear how excited he is to get Wade into camp. I would guess Wallace to RB before Wade.

[in no way am I predicting Wallace to RB]

I don’t understand your Freddie Maggard comment . I must have missed something? The Carter Hall guy always makes outlandish statements. You realize he is just some random fan that makes comments or asks questions, just like you and me could .

If you listened to the link, Hall evidently asked Niles and White something about Joshua Jones and neither host knew who that was.

Oh , I didn’t notice that. I’m guessing they were just mixed up about who he was talking about. Ive listened to this show all year and trust me, they know all about Joshua Jones . They have talked about him in the past . These 2 often even have insights on backup players we are not familiar with. A couple of weeks ago Van was talking about how the staff has been pleasantly surprised with Kaiya Sheron . They’ve talked about Joel Williams . These 2 are best friends with coach Stewart and he comes on their show and other times makes comments in the comment section.

Now if you want to hear a strictly “homer” point of view that just skims the surface , Maggard is your man . But these guys get deeper and wont sugar coat things , if a player hasn’t been “ putting in work “ they say it .

I did not mind that they did not recognize Josh’s name. He is just a RFr and I don’t know that he has ever seen the field. But, Maggard, being a homer, knows UK’s recruits.

I love Freddie. But anything he says must be taken with a grain of salt. He will NEVER say anything remotely negative or slightly controversial, even if he knows it and it is the truth. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I just like to hear more “in depth “ things sometimes.

I have a feeling you don’t know who Carter Hall is!!!!

I’m pretty sure Van Hiles and Anthony White have known him since their playing days.

And yes, he was playing the “outlandish card” but legitimately asking if some guys c/n get into the game with 12 scholly players, are they meat for the portal.

Josh Jones and Donut are the two that popped up in the show, and the hosts dropped the ball, not even knowing who Joshua Jones was.

You’re right , I don’t know who he is . He says some silly things every week. They are very familiar with Donut , they’ve talked about him all year . Tell me how you think they dropped the ball on him .

I was surprised they dropped the ball on Joshua Jones. They had no idea who he is, hence my comment, “not even knowing who Joshua Jones was.”

Carter Hall was a U.K. fixture, running “Bluegrass Recruiting,” in an effort in the late 90’s, early 2000’s to balance out the recruiting gurus who (were also) very oriented to particular schools.

Hall was a regular on boards in past years. Not really sure, however, why he would ask about Jones, given that it is not unusual for a OL to spend the first couple of years developing, especially when there is so much talent in upper classes.

Thanks guys . I’ve never heard of him and quite frankly, he’s always asking weird questions and making bizarre comments. I’m honestly surprised to learn he knows anything about football.

Carter has always had a unique sense of humor, and was throwing some curve balls at folks he’s known for decades.

As for being generally football knowledgeable, he would likely rank up there with the other familiar names from 1995-2005, Lonnie Demaree, and RV.

He’s a member, here, but getting Carter Hall or RV to post on the public forum is like pulling teeth.

Josh Jones was on our sideline in shorts during the Citrus Bowl. Big dude. He has not broken into the playing rotation, but he is a good looking young OL prospect who might develop into a good player.

Carter LOL. He was a big UK football recruiting guy back in the day around the Mumme/Bassett era and that's all I'll say about that. I followed him for a bit on Twitter years back and I finally had to unfollow him. He was always tweeting at recruits and a lot of it was cringe worthy comments and questions.

Back in the day I knew Carter and RV well. There are no bigger UKFB fans than those two. Different personalities but both had and still have Blue Hearts. They remain to this day, among the most knowledgeable BBN fans you will ever meet.

If my memory is correct, think he got UK in trouble or was named in the NCAA report when the Mumme/Bassett stuff hit. And he still tweets at recruits. I doubt UK loves him.

An example of what I'm talking about and it's usually much worse. This concerning a new walkon commitment today. He tags the kid and then wants an explanation of his "game."

I knew RV well back in the day. He introduced me to Carter at an AL game some 15 years ago. That’s good enough for me.
