I believe he has real potential and hope he stays with us four years. At first he did look like a deer in the headlights but he has made incredible progress in a short time .
I very much like him on defense . Takes up a lot of space and defends reasonably well.
His offense still shows a bit of uncertainty but at times he is beginning to excel. My guess is from his freshman to sophomore year he will improve more than anyone on the team . He has the ability and talent . He just needs pt and another year of playing in Popes system to fully blossom.

Need to get his girlfriend to move/transfer to KY. She can try to convert some Kentuckians. I actually went to HS in KY with one.

Defensively he reminds me of Tommy Kron. Tall rangey guard who is ready made for a 1/3/1 trap zone . Strong defender, rebounder . Offensively Kron played next to Dampier so he didn’t attempt to score as much as I think Chandler is capable of . Great to see him drive to the rim the other night . My guess is when he gets his three point shot going and defenders have to worry about him driving to the rim as well we will really have something . .
Also I think his height compliments Perry’s lack of it very well. Hopefully they can be starting combo by jr or sr year .

We will likely have better point guards than Perry in perry's jr or sr years.

Perry is solid but it is more likely he will develop into a rotation player than a sec level starting pg

I think he is finally getting his feet under him and catching up to the speed of the game.

I hope we have Collin back on next year’s team. The freshmen are 4-year players that will greatly benefit our roster for the next 3 years. Each have good basketball skills, great attitudes, and are “team first” kids. With this crazy portal, many players are just looking for the biggest NIL offer so most rosters are going to have turnover each year.

Collin has that “ bounce” and fast twitch, he is a very good athlete. If he returns next year, the rust will be off and we may not recognize his game. He can play 3 positions and is a better than average defensive player now. I know we have some good freshmen coming in next year and Coach Pope and staff will bring in several portal players, However, I think Collin, Trent, Travis and Ortega as returnees are going to be akin to Farmer, Feldhaus, Pelphrey, and Woods (the Unforgetables). Get a superstar like Mashburn (Johnson?) and history might repeat itself.
