It wasn’t a Cal-type loss, but it was still a game UK controlled for most of the game and should have won. I love Pope but it’s clear—both last year and this year—-his teams play to the level of competition. I’ve said all season a Sweet 16 was the ceiling but I no longer believe that. We should have found a way to win this game given the lead we had with 3 and half minutes to go.

But this exact set up has happened multiple times this year when folks expect us to win yet we’re the underdog.

Betting lines are essentially just computer reflections. Computers told you UK should lose tonight.

Even when healthy, this team is not one of the best teams in the country. They’ve shown they can beat anyone but they don’t have the consistency, athleticism, or defense to be at the level of the elite teams.

Reminds me a lot of the Maxey team. Great record(worse SEC) but the computers did not like that team at all. They were barely top 30 in KenPom.
