Texas is better than their record

You guys are going to be eating crow once the tournament starts. We get our full team back and no one will want to play us.
Yes, I’m sure the entire field of 67 teams will be scared to play mid major all star team coached by a super nice dude that has never won a NCAAT game.

I'd call them average and unfortunately for them they joined the sec n a mega difficult season. They are a ncaa tournament team but probably 1 and done there.

This year, it seems like "weaker" teams are better than their record and the "stronger" teams are not as good as their record indicates. Bottom line is simply you have to bring your "A" game every night out. We all know this, but just sayin' ... !!

Bingo. Not a single team is so go they can just beat anybody and not a single team is so bad they can’t beat anybody. A lot of middle ground teams or slight above the median teams

Well when they have the 2 guards they have beaten some of the best teams in the sport
Agreed. And also lost to some pretty meh teams when healthy. And also beat darned good teams when not completely healthy. Here’s the rub, in a couple ways. 1-No team is completely healthy at this point. Excuse or reason, it is what it is. 2-This team is wildly inconsistent. The consistents are they don’t defend or rebound well and they turn it over way too much. Those two things aren’t a coincidence.

With Jax and butler I will think they can beat anybody

They didn’t beat us. We gave them the game.

lol, I’m just seeing a bunch of 4-5th year guys who have their NIL and are just ready to move on to the next chapter in their lives!

Can Pope keep those guys motivated for the post season at least? Doubtful, going by what I’m seeing so far!

Sure they are, how about Ky is just like about 30 other major D1 teams, can beat a good team on a given night and lose to teams that aren't that good. This team will be remembered more for what it didn't accomplish than for what it did. I said in a post earlier in the season when Ky had a much better record but trending down, that this teams roster is full of players who in their careers at their previous schools lost a ton of games and losing can be tolerated if you do it enough. This team is fun to watch at times but just as frustrating at others. We might see a 2-3 game run in Big Dance but just as easily could see a first game exit like previous years.

I sure hope the team doesn’t have that attitude. I want them to be mad they let one slip through their fingers and ready to smash the next team.

Texas wins over Kentucky, A&M, Missouri are good wins, and with the quality of SEC teams they have yet to play this year, it wouldn't surprise me to see them sneak out enough wins to look relatively good enough to make the NCAA tournament.

16 - 10 with 5 more and the SECT to go.

I'll go with 19-12 and if they win a game in the SECT then they get into the NCAAT.

Texas' most difficult game will be @ the Hump. They are all winnable. 5 more games and the SEC tournament. Definitely on the bubble as of now. They finish strong, get to 20 wins, I can see them getting in. It'll take 20 wins at least IMO, though. I think they will get there. At least by the time the SEC tournament is over. If they get to 19 and pickup a win in the SECT this year, I think they get in.
