Doesn't look good for the Aggies, even though they are at home. We have a great advantage in size, our length and height will give them fits, as it should most other teams. They don't appear to have a player(s) that can have the kind of offensive game they would need to pull off the upset. From what I've seen of them, they're defense isn't going to provide the kind of problems that would shut us down. They're next to last in the SEC in FT%. It has all the earmarks of a blowout, feel-good win for UK.

Sure, anyone can make the case that they could have a career game from someone, hit 90% from the free throw line, make 50+% from the field and contested, acrobatic 3 point shots rain gloriously down upon Kentucky in volume and for a school record in %. If so, it would be two of the greatest games Ole Miss and TAMU would have ever played against Kentucky in the history of their schools, making it back to back insanely tough contested games for our Cats' to have to persevere through.

I just don't see it happening. I say we're fortunate to have a road game against TAMU after the Ole Miss game to get our feet wet in SEC road games, and we win comfortably this time.

Your Thoughts?

Agree on all counts + they don't appear to shoot many 3's and don't make all that many when they do shoot them.It looks like they will try to control the pace of the game,I expect we may try to extend our defense to speed up the game

They are the #136th team on Offensive efficiency and we are #1 on defensive efficiency. They will have to play even better than Ole Miss did to even have a chance. We would basically have to shoot about 20%.

This game should be an easy one, as they're about the worst matchup for UK in the SEC. But it is a conference road game, so who knows...

Duke struggled with Wake Forest, UL with Clemson. Conference games are tough.

Yep, conference road game. I never thought Ole Miss would give us much of a game either. Shows you have to bring it every game.

Exactly. SHOULD be easy, but I wouldn't be surprised if they made a game of it for awhile.

After the Ole Miss game, i'm not taking anything for granted. We should've lost at home as a 23 point favorite.

This team plays down to the level of the competition, and it's a road game.

The team that should have lost did lose. End of story. Honestly the Ole Miss game especially in the second half was pretty high level.

Yeah, UK was the better team and deserved to win the game. Some of our fans are quite awful with their loser mentality. Most of us are winners.

As for this game....all signs point to a blowout. UK will hear for 4 days that they are overrated and not good...and such. Well, we shall see.

At least one thing for sure, we will be out numbered. Their roster is 18 strong.
Wow, they have 3 platoons + 3 reserves, being in Texas I feel like Crockett at the Alamo

I expect Ole Miss to prove that the UK game wasn't just some exceptional night for them. They have some impressive players.

I really don't understand the concept of "should have lost" in a game like that one. UK certainly could have easily lost that game. Ole Miss played really great. They had the lead and the ball with about 35 seconds to go. Before that terrible turnover, UK was probably going to have to foul and they were great from the line all night long. It certainly could have gone as a loss. Moody could have waited one more play to cramp up, gone 3 for 3 from the line, and it might have gone as a loss.

On the other hand, UK also played at a really high level. They got the short end of several important bad calls (including 2 goaltending calls that quite clearly cost 4 points). They got the steal they needed late in the game to send it to OT. They made the plays in OT to win the game.

The only scenario I can think of when you can really say that a team who won should have lost the game would be if a call is blown on the last play of the game that decides the outcome. For example, a team is down by one, they get off a buzzer beater shot which bounces around on the rim, and the defense knocks it off the rim when it was going to roll in, but the refs fail to call goaltending. Or maybe a shooter is awarded for a flop with a foul call on a 3 point buzzer-beater when no contact was made and makes the three free throws to win the game by a point.

Bad calls late can certainly allow a team to steal a win, but that is a pretty rare scenario. Usually, either the game is won by the team that clearly played better, or neither team clearly played better and the game came down to a couple of plays that could have gone either way. That's what we had in the Ole Miss game.

We also had possession on a held ball ( arrow was in our favor ) when Harrison was called for a foul . So we could have lost but I would not say we should have lost

The SEC needs to beat down TAMU while they can because Kennedy is bringing in quite the nice recruiting class next season and Billy Kennedy is taking that program in a positive direction. Personally, I would take Elijah Thomas or Tyler Davis and put them in our current recruiting class, but Calipari has other ideas and he knows better than me.

What gets me is the missed goal tending and the call on Karl. That's 4 points! That 4 points could have made a big difference in how UK and Ole Miss played down the stretch. However if you assume everything played out as it did we would have been up by 9 when we were only up 5.
