UT evaded the shutout at least. I live n TN so watching all my UT FB friends spaz out tonight is comical.
Just like all year, UTs staff is helping their team overachieve. No way they should be in this game with virtually zero pass game and osu front 4 playing so well
If UT gets a TD with 2nd half kickoff OSU butt will be tightening
Definitely playing better, UT. Seems like they quit trying for the big play down the sidelines and started hitting some short ones and a few to the flat. OL playing better, also.
First 8 minutes of the second half will be critical, I believe. UT puts 7 on the board and it's anyone's ballgame. If OSU stuffs them and puts 7 on them, that's probably the nail in the coffin.

I have TONS of Tosu friends , couple have flexed tonight saying how much they enjoy kicking the SEC around .. and " told you they couldn't play in there cold". LOL , like beating a boot licker like UT is a real flex .. UT is a SEC wannabe , haven't really won squat but Tosu acting like they just won the national lottery
I despise both teams to. But living where I do I despise Ohio state worse than anyone. I would feel different if I lived in Tennessee I'm sure.
But how does this make sense that a team in a conference with exactly 3 good teams doesn't even play in the conference championship game. Gets a week off but still gets a home playoff game? It's stupid and same would apply if Tennessee was seeded 8 and got a home game.
Yet the only undefeated team in the country doesn't even get a home game they have to play the winner of this on a neutral field.
12 teams was stupid. I got chastised by friends for saying this.
Most years they struggled to find 4 teams worthy of being in the playoffs.
It will get worse once they expand to 16 or maybe even 24. All about money like everything else.
It’s clear that Tennessee didn’t belong in this playoff with this blowout. Committee robbed us of a belonging SEC team as they would’ve won this game.

So first round was a giant waste of time and 8 was the magic number as it always should’ve been because at no point in the history of this game has anyone had an argument for teams that were 9-12 when they have two and three losses.

It's gonna go to 16 teams because it is a business. If it had stayed at 4 this year the cupcake alliance would have been up in arms as it would have been 2 sec and 2 big 10 teams. Maybe they shove aside Penn state for the Golden domers but I'm basing it on the committee's true rankings.
If the games were based on actually rewarding the highest ranked teams, UT would have hosted a playoff game tonight against lowly SMU. Instead they had to play at potentially the best team other than Oregon and on the road.

I think Ohio State is coming out of that top bracket. Whoever wins the Oregon/OSU should beat Texas.
I assume Georgia wins the bottom half but have no idea what to expect with the QB position.
Texas legitimately has the best team in the nation but only with arch at qb. Its insane they are willing to lose to play ewers.
Tenn way over performed this season even with the weaker schedule. Inconsistent qb play. Cant believe they won 10. If clark lea wasn't such a clear coach of the year, id say jh should be. This is a 6-7 win roster.
The home teams swept the #9-#12 seeds today as expected in mostly uninteresting games. We're left with an 8 team playoff that many wanted. I just wish they were the top ranked 8 teams without byes and seeded appropriately.
I put a futures bet on Ohio State. They have the revenge angle versus Oregon and yeah, I think they can come out of the top part of the draw. I think whoever wins GA or Notre Dame comes out of the bottom half.
If it was a 4 team playoff-someone is getting left out and guess what it was probably Ohio State or maybe Texas. Ohio State is the most talented team in the field. Texas is really good.
The conference arguments has always been stupid because the Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan and Clemson teams that won it all their conference affiliation had zero to do with it. They were just freakin good teams.

Congratulations Ohio State SEC champions in football and basketball well maybe not in basketball Auburn did beat them by 100 points or something like that.
Woke up early again ( damn prednisone ) and my FB page has more Tosu friends flexing . Makes me hate sports because of my unhealthy hate for Tosu .. " stomping the SEC twice in one day " was a common theme .. And those lucky pricks get to host a SEC boot licker in a Dec night game at 20 degrees who does typical UT boot licker things ( we are taking over your town , we are planting our flag after we win etc etc ) and totally fires up a shaky Tosu team . Dumb Dumb Dumb . But somehow 2 loss Tosu get to host a game and then gets to play a team in their own conference in a revenge game on a neutral field . Talk about unfair . Leaving Bama out was a freaking crime . But hey it's the NCAA , you can assure it will do the wrong thing . I hope Tosu goes on another 12 game losing streak , which is what those pricks did after beating us in Vegas in 19 ( ?) . I wish people in western Ky and central Ky had a taste of how badly Tosu loathe Ky fans in hoops .. it would change the outlook on losing 3 in a row to these assholes .
IMO, 12 teams is just fine, but all games should be on a neutral field.
Living near the TN line there were a few UT flags starting to show up, I think this puts them back in the trunk for a few more months. The local vol fans been claiming nico would be the heisman favorite next year. But to his credit he seemed like the only vol trying to win. It was a poor effort to come up with a gameplan and poor effort on the field. Maybe partly due to the weather.
They got stomped. Nothing changes that fact. They did not deserve to be on the same field as OSU. Worst blowout of the new playoff. Maybe we should have paid attention when they only beat us by 10 on their field.
We have "fans" on Rafters who like OSU in football and UK in basketball. One fan referred to "we" before we played OSU in basketball. He was talking about UK
Personally those posters should be on an everyone's ignore list, but who am I to decide that?
