Agree to disagree I guess. Any cheating that was done was done before this coach and most all of these players. We took some pretty stuff self imposed penalties. Ones that are standard for that situation and we fired the whole entire staff and basically ran the guilty players off. Like I’ve said before I don’t know what you want us to do other than fall on the sword and disband the football program. A little salty from you. Kinda disturbing you want people killed by a stadium falling in on them. I don’t hate UK. I think you have a good football team and things got away from y’all tonight. Happens to all teams at times. Good luck the rest of the season.
Like I said. Turn a blind eye. Act like it wasn't institutional if it makes you feel better.
Those are your words, not mine.
-If you think the program should be disbanded, then disband it.
-I didn't say I wanted anyone killed and you know that. Twist the words however you like. If you're one of the fans that was cheering that our player was injured, your behavior is disturbing. If you are not one of them, the proper reaction would be to be disturbed by their behavior.
-I used to have respect for your program. I knew some pretty humble and yet proud fans of your program. Over the past 30 years, however, 95% of the UT fans I've met have been arrogant, win at all costs, poor losers and poor winners, who all would rather cheating occur than that they lose a game. And 100% of them refuse to be accountable or hold anyone accountable about the cheating of the program.
You have great facilities and game day atmosphere. You long surpassed UK in Game day atmosphere for basketball at TBArena. As early as 1999... It was a little small, but great atmosphere. 100k at a game in football even when you weren't that good. It's impressive.
But as fans you are not very self aware to say the least. You all know very little about where the money came from that funds the program and what's been done to people to get it. Not that the information is that easy to find, but it's available. You have no moral standards when it comes to athletics and as a result I have to wonder where if at all it stands in all other aspects. I guess as long as the money is there no one will be discomforted enough to care to look into it or change things.
I get that some are just a fan of the program because you used to win, regardless of what you did to get the wins. Some just because they are from the area or the state. I have dropped teams that have proven to be so unethical from my viewership and other support. I will continue to do so even if UK is one of the teams that becomes like UT, UNC, USC, or others. It's the nature/foundation I've chosen for myself. It's not typical, but I don't care.
It comes down to whatever you can live with and who you ultimately put in charge of your life. We all make our choices.
