But UT just played "like they've been there" 3 weeks ago against Bama, so they have recently been in a monster game in the national spotlight. Granted it was a home game vs this being an away game, but they are used to this kind of energy, and the offense uses signals already even at home to communicate on offense. If UT loses, which the ESPN FPI says there is a 75% chance of happening, it will be because of the overall talent gap...and those 2 Cyborg TEs.
Well, after the ass kicking you gave US, I certainly can’t talk crap. But I do think being at home got you over the hump w/ Alabama and Georgia had several advantages today. It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes.

Georgia is an outstanding football team. Tennessee is really good but they got daddied today in Athens

Georgia is simply the more complete team. Tennessee has a good offense. Georgia also has a good offense and a great defense. They made Tennessee look pretty pedestrian.

UGA was obviously the better team. Without a doubt. But I said on here a few days ago that from what I had seen of UGA this season that after manhandling Oregon they sleepwalked through their schedule until today, but were more than ready for UT today. I also said UT would have to play its A game while UGA did not, but the opposite happened. And I give UGA credit for having a lot to do with UT not paying its A game.

Was very impressed with the UGA secondary's discipline. That talented and that mentally fit is a scary thing.

Was also impressed with their pressure. On Hooker. The OL had been very good against the Bama, LSU, and UK fronts, 3 good SEC fronts, but struggled today. Thankfully UT won't see a defense again that good.

I didn't expect to win, but still it was disappointing. While I never expected UT to be 8-0, there they were, so you hope it keeps going all the way.

Oh well. Still alive for the playoffs. They just have to take care of business the next 3 weeks.

Congrats to UGA.

BS, every vol fan was expecting to put 50 up today. Going to embarrass UGA. Just be glad Kirby didn't want to make a statement, or the best QB in the SEC would have put 40 on the vols. One more thing, 4 frosh were playing D the 4th quarter, alone with 3 soph.

Trashiest program and fanbase in the country. The way the fans acted in the OM game, on a correct call mind you and the greatest baseball team who pulled the biggest choke Job in decades are proof. But congrats on not getting beat by 3 TDs, thanks to Kirby's kindness. In case you missed it he has the middle school passing game figured out. Beat Chumblee and crew too bad and the vols might go after a real coach.

I believe you have that spiel memorized you've recited it for so long. Impressive.

What did I say? I don't remember insulting anyone so you will need to point out the post or posts you're referring to.

One other point of trashy fanbase, vol fans got Stetson phone number and called him all night long Friday. But what can you expect from UTjr, yeah that's right jr, once again proving what a trashy fanbase they are. Enjoy being Kirby's whipping boy, because you are and best of all you know it and everyone else does too.

That is definitely pretty crappy.

You seem to always be angry, which is extra surprising considering UGA just reinforced its claim to #1.

Not worried about it. This is year 2 of the Heupel rebuild and he is way ahead of schedule. He got UF and Bama this season. I have lots of respect for Kirby, as I an sure Heupel does as well, but his time will come too. Enjoy the win.

I agree that the spot call was probably correct, or at least had to stand since replay could not clearly determine where the ball was, but that call itself was not the reason UT fans were angry, it was just what finally broke the dam. It started with the refs bizarrely reversing a UT TD after a sack of Matt Corral led to a fumble and return for a TD by the UT defense.

Both the ref and center judge ran down with the defender and signaled TD. Then Kiffin comes out and whines and the refs suddenly reverse the TD and claim the QB was in the grasp. And there were the 20+ Ole Miss defensive 'injuries' that constantly stopped UT's tempo. By the time of that final spot call the fans were angry. That is obviously not an excuse for the fan reaction, which was embarrassing as heck, just pointing out that the final spot call itself was just the trigger for emotions that built up over the course of the game.

Also, saying the baseball team, which dominated the SEC, btw, pulled the biggest choke in decades is your typical hyperbole. It has been since the 90s since a team ranked #1 at the end of the season won it all, so apparently that greatest choke job has occurrred every year for about the last 25 years.

LOL. Chumlee very well might get coach of the year, which would be well deserved, so we are more than satisfied, but thanks for your input.

I’ve never felt like UGA’s home field advantage was that significant.

Feels like Tennessee has the juice right now.

Heart says UGA, head says UT.

So glad I was wrong.

The only UGA-UT game I attended was in Athens in 2006. It did not go well for the Red & Black.

That one is burned into my brain.
