Tennessee at Kentucky (1)

Well, at least we showed a little fight in us ...

Watching the replay now since I had an obligation that kept me from watching earlier. I guess we got our obligatory error out of the way early.

Reed in this game is silly. Not trying to hate on the kid himself, but this is a lefty throwing mid 90s... having another lefty in the lineup makes no sense. Should be righty heavy and yet we aren't.
Elliot Curtis would seem to make more sense, but there isn't much hitting to be brought off this bench.

Well, part of that is a lack of development. Guys like Adams only have a handful of hits and yet they expect him to excel in the spot they put him in tonight? Pretty silly.

Ramsey looked better than he has for most of the season. Certainly through the 5th. He recovered from a rough 1st inning and got it together for 5 more innings.

Yep. Good to see him battle back. Got to give him a lot of credit after I ragged on him all week. Happy when they prove me wrong.

Now we need Hazelwood to prove he is quality. He can be hard to hit if he has it working. Have to go deep and stay away from the bullpen.

It is really hard to tell what the guys with no at bats can do. Why can't they get more midweek starts so they can develop?

I take my chances with Gei in that situation. Asking Adams to deliver there is a bit much. Staff may have been looking for a long ball instead of a hit.

Aww but rumors are fun! Haha
The hard feelings seemed to have started after their first Home Run when the hitter rounded third and stared into the UK dugout while cheesing. This was confirmed by UT's manager in a post game interview. As far as the strikeout to end the game, I didn't see much. Neither the catcher, nor the pitcher seemed to say anything to Adams at that moment.
