TCU at UK (DH)

They've just needed too many arms. 2 games in a day after 2 mid-week games this week make it pretty tough.

Having to use Harney and Williams so much in games 1 and 2 hurt. Should have saved Williams for this one instead of game 2.

I’ll be the first to say I may have underestimated the team this year. Mingione has underperformed every year but his first. Maybe he’s like Stoops and just needed some seasoning. I guess we’ll see.

Way to early to judge anything. Was an excellent series win against a team ranked as high as #8 to 16th. Why did they play a DH? Didn't even know it.

Rain tomorrow. You’re right but I figured they would go 0-3 a couple weeks back against TCU.

I feel like the first game was an anamoly. You're not going to get that game again from TCU staff. Still, we took advantage and kept the pressure on them all game long.

Then game 2 we were just better than them. That was most impressive to me. Their pitcher had a solid game and we pretty much just hit him and strung together the right hits at the right time.

I think they kind of just beat us in the last one but it got bullpen dicey.

All in all, they won and stayed competitive, which is what you look for. I think that's a good sign for league play. That we can stay competitive. How much? We will see, but it's a good sign.

Kind of the way I feel as well. There are in reality, 36 games on this schedule that really matter, the SEC, UL (2), TCU (3) and Indiana. The rest will be mostly wins against weak OOC teams that, while we won't win them all, any SEC team would handle easily.

So by my way of thinking we are off to a better start than I expected, only lost 2 games all year, and are 2-1 against a top 10 team.
