Tatum announcing tommorow. Do you care?

Alright, I've waited a bit, now to give my input.
I'll actually root for St. Louis if he picks them, but because of how unique it is. He could really bring a lot to such a small program. Would be amazing to see somebody single-handedly bring a program to its feet.

Jones and Davis didn't play the same position. Your example was stupid.

what do you mean? they most certainly played the same position, Davis was listed as a power forward by every single recruiting service there was, was Jones a small forward or center and I just wasn't aware? Davis played out of position because of Jones just like Bledsoe did with Wall. It happens in college pretty much every year with every team. Duke won the NC last year running 2 PG's and 2 SG's and a C.

Son Of Saul, I guess I can see where you'd think that comes of as scared but I really do just see it and mean it totally objectively. If I could dig up a post from before the Notre Dame or Wisconsin game you would be able to see me saying ND's offense and more specifically Jerian Grant and Sam Dekker vs any of our wings is a scary proposition but I absolutely thought we were going to win those games and ultimately hang a 40-0 NC banner. My main thing this year is that the way it looks we aren't getting the superstar home run guy. Could Simmons, Monk, or guy like Killeya-Jones end up blowing up this year and climbing into the Giles, Jackson, Tatum, and to me Smith Jr. league sure, but right now we are on the outside looking in and I don't like it. That's all, I still think we will have as good a shot as anyone just wish we were in better standing, and I still have multiple NC's that we gave away bitterness in my mouth and I can't help thinking that if we went 40-0 and beat Duke for the title we'd be leading in this battle for the big 3 instead of trailing.

Duke were the favorites for Giles and Tatum well before UK lost in the Final Four. Coming off a championship is a great sells pitch for sure and I'm sure it helped Duke's case with the two, but it's not the be all end all for a recruit.

I don't think we end up with either even if UK had went 40-0, sadly.

the scariest part of Giles and Tatum going to Duke is Dennis Smith Jr. Guy is the best PG prospect since John Wall or Kyrie Irving. He plays like Chris Paul with better size and the athleticism of Wall. Guy is scary good. I'd take him over anyone in the class except Giles.

I agree regarding Dennis Smith (I'd take him over Giles and Tatum), but Smith ain't gonna end up at Duke.

For the record, you still have a question in the bullpen that's been warming up for a few innings now. How do Thornton, Smith, Allen, and Kennard co-exist in the same backcourt, especially with Tatum and Jones playing the three spot?

Platoon?[/QUOTE]

Uhh, no to the platoon bullshit. We aren't going to land Dennis Smith if we still have Thornton, I'm not sure why people can't understand this.

Smith isn't going to Duke. They'll land Frank Jackson instead.

I wonder if we will start seeing more continuity on UK's roster now that K is dipping into the one and done bucket so often?

LOL, really dude? You think K is going to "steal" all the 1-and-dones? That ain't gonna happen. We're not trying to have 3-4 1-and-dones every year. There's plenty of talent to go around. And it's not like certain recruits are for sure 1-and-done and others aren't. The players choose whether to go pro or stay. There isn't a "1-and-done bucket" that can become empty, you moron.

First off, who hurt you? Second, nowhere in that message did I say Coach K is "stealing" recruits. Third, every year there are a few guys that are considered unequivocal one and done talents. Players that are ready to contribute in the league straight out of high school. Think Jabari Parker, Kyrie Irving and Jahlil Okafor for Duke and Anthony Davis, John Wall and KAT for UK. There are 3-4 guys tops like that in a class, sometimes 2 in a down talent year. If Coach K gets those types of players more consistently (will likely get two this year) Cal will have to pick up more of the other guys. Those guys may end up being able to jump after one season as well but they won't be considered as locks to leave. Some may stay a few years before heading to the league thus creating the roster continuity I was speaking about. That was my point. Hopefully after you read this you'll calm down buddy.

I wouldn't worry about it guys, we can't grab every single top 10 player. You can only have 5 guys on the floor at a time. We are going to get some really good players from this class.

Wow dude, if this is what you're like after some good news, I'd want popcorn to see you after something doesn't go your way.

He just said it Duke, dont like way recuiting is starting this year

A lot of fans didn't like the way this past year's recruiting was going and look how that worked out? UK fans get down so quickly.

Are people really that tore up about Tatum? Everyone and their mother knew we weren't getting him. There are about a dozen top 20 guys we're actually in good shape with. Give it till the class starts shaping out before we get our blue panties in a wad, people.

That was my point too, who was Tatum?

Seriously, I don't know why Kentucky fans freak out so much when they don't have the #1 class.
Weeeellll, some people freaked this year because we missed on like 5 in a row this spring. Combine that with a heartbreaking end to the season, and some people went a bit off the deep end.
