TAM destroys Clayton

I bet we don't see a lack of effort from Reed tonight. I think he steps up and has his best game of the season defensively tonight. Can he sustain another whole game without Wagner if what I heard about him might not beiing able to go tonight is true.

Sorry Walt, you’re not in Rupp anymore. Of course, a lamppost could drop 20 on Shepp

What has Cal won? 1 title with half the NBA All-Star roster? Color me thoroughly unimpressed...After all, the man himself talked a big game about "catching UCLA" and all that jazz. I didn't realize the title gap between UCLA and UK was 1, my bad.
More games in the NCAA tournament than any other coach over the last 14 seasons.

More tournament wins against higher seeds than any other coach over the last 14 seasons.

More wins in the SEC tournament than all the other SEC coaches combined.

Just in his time here he’s been to 4 FF’s. Winning it once.

I don’t know how Buzzboy stacks up to that since he’s not my coach.

But the question was about Cal.

Just knowing those things qualifies you to be a Calipari family member.

This is 2024. Not 2019.

Cal hasn’t done JACK in 5 years.

Walter Clayton Jr. actually had 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in the game in Florida that DJ Wagner played in. In the game without Wagner, he had 23 points, 2 rebounds and 0 assists. So it isn’t like DJ shut him down either. Walter actually had a better all around game the first time we played Florida.

Reed Sheppard had more points, rebounds, and assists than Walter Clayton Jr in the last game against Florida. DJ Wagner didn’t have better numbers than Walter Clayton Jr. in any category in the game he played against Florida. Sheppard is still better than Wagner, no matter how you look at it.

Worst record in UK history.

Worst tourny loss in UK history.

First coach in 20 years to lose to UF while ranked inside the top 10.

20 plus losses in Rupp in the last 4 years.

See both sides of the coin can do this all day.

Clayton dropped 23 in both games. The salient point is that we don’t defend very well. Other teams do.

I wasn’t responding to you. If you look at the post I responded to, he was singling out Sheppard specifically. At least Sheppard shut down Walter’s rebounding and passing better than Wagner.

Just think what that resume would look like if he actually prirotized winning games for Kentucky. ...you know, his job.

Great might in New Orleans and Bourbon was a blast that night!! I was very impressed. Hope we have a few more of those nights!!

Clayton Jr. with 8. 2/6 from 3.
TAMU did shut him down but Walter does average over 16 ppg. Against UK the other night, he only had 18 at the end of regulation, so it isn’t that much off of his average.
